A A A A

two | jack frost [1553 words]

"Elsa, wake up, wake up, wake up!" Anna tried to wake Elsa up from her deep slumber and Elsa, being the heavy sleeper even though she's the eldest among her and Anna, let out a loud groan in protest as a respond, before going back to her slumber.

"Elsa.. Wake up or not, I'd tickle you!" Anna ran her hands up and down Elsa's sides, cracking her lips into a naughty grin, as she was getting ready to tickle Elsa.

"No, no, no, don't tickle me!" Elsa squirmed around and fluttered her eyes open immediately, going back to reality after a long flight from her dreamland and shuddered, facing Anna with an arched eyebrow. "Are we already at the restaurant?"

"Um, we're almost there. We're at the traffic light. I just want to wake you up early because gosh, your hairdo's ruined because of you sleeping just now.." Anna began fixing Elsa's hair and Elsa mouthed a soft 'thank you', shuddering lightly.

The thoughts of her, Anna and their parents almost arriving the restaurant scared the young twenty-one year-old lady, wondering what would happen at the restaurant. It could be something good or maybe, bad. The situation could not be predicted at some point due to them never meeting the real Frost family.

She would never know until they get there soon but Elsa felt that they should never arrive at the restaurant. Just.. never.

All of a sudden, Anna's voice got Elsa out of her train of thoughts and a sweet smile was curling onto her lips. "There, your hair's done and you look beautiful again! ..Oh look!"

Anna paused her words and turned her head to see a fancy Italian restaurant ahead of them, letting out a delighted squeal and continuing to smile from ear to ear. "We're already arrived at our destination, Elsa! Aren't you excited for tonight? Don't think otherwise!"

Just in time that you told me, Anna. But no, I'm so sorry, I'm not even excited. I swear I feel different, more like.. ambivalent about tonight. Ack.

Elsa's train of thoughts got back to work again as she gulped her saliva down into her throat, her hands starting to tremble in nervousness. What could really happen there? What could easily go wrong about that night?

Elsa and Anna's father parked the SUV car at the back of the parking lot, due to the large amount of cars being parked at the parking lot as the Italian restaurant was known to be one of the best in town. The family of four got out of the car and fixed everything, from their hair to clothes and faces, to make sure they would have good first impressions during their meeting with their mother's pen-pals, the Frost family.

Elsa and Anna's parents walked their way towards the Italian restaurant, hand in hand, so did the two female siblings. They entered the restaurant and Elsa's father went towards the receptionist, who was sitting near his counter, questioning in a polite manner, "Good evening, sir. I'm Mr. Arendelle and I already reserved a table for eight at the back approximately two days ago. The reservation's scheduled to be at seven."

"Good evening to you too, sir. Hm, let me see.." The receptionist checked his computer to see if Mr. Arendelle had made the reservation. "Ah, here it is; Mr. Arendelle. You are correct. You made your reservation two days ago. Here, let me show you to your table."

The receptionist made his way towards the table and Elsa, Anna and their parents followed him from behind. Elsa and Anna's eyes wandered around the restaurant in amazement at the beauty of the restaurant and they began to gasp in delight. The restaurant had statues and paintings on the wall, to add more Italian flair to the restaurant.

Overall, Elsa was happy that the beauty of the restaurant made her feel comfortable with the atmosphere, even though inside her heart, she still felt nervous of meeting the Frost family. But still, she had her total excitement rushing inside her body. Meeting new people a.k.a. strangers could be nice once in awhile, right?

She was a few steps away from her and the Frost family's table and took a few deep breaths, a small smile curled onto her pink, plump lips. And no, it wasn't a fake smile, it was a warm, friendly one. For the first time ever since she arrived at the restaurant, Elsa knew that she was finally ready for the meeting-with-her-mom's-pen-pals session.

Gulping her saliva down into her throat a few times, Elsa's icy, blue eyes started to observe the four members of the Frost family. She was already seated at the table next to her mother, Mrs. Arendelle on her left and Anna on her right a few minutes ago and now, she was continuing her observation, her ears perking up to hear her mother, Mrs. Arendelle and her pen pal, Mrs. Frost introducing their own families.

"This is my husband and here are my two beloved daughters; the eldest sister's Elsa while the younger sister's Anna."

"The only difference of our families is that I have a son rather than a daughter. He's Jack while this is his younger sister."

"Let's make ourselves comfortable by introducing ourselves to each other," Elsa and Anna's father, Mr. Arendelle suggested and Mr. Frost clasped his hands together with a nod; a signal that he agreed to the suggestion.

Elsa's observation was interrupted with a nudge on the elbow by Anna. Elsa, who was zoned out earlier, let out a soft groan under her breath, rubbing her elbow and curling her lips into a pout. Anna cracked into a sheepish grin and rubbed the back of her neck, mouthing 'I'm sorry' with her lips, which made Elsa satisfied and forgive her younger sister in an instant.

During her introduction with Mr. and Mrs. Frost, Elsa felt too awkward since it had been a long time she introduced herself in front of people and could only blurt these few words out of her mouth, "I'm Elsa. It's nice meeting the both of you this evening." Fourtunately, Mr. and Mrs. Frost didn't mind her introduction and accepted her gladly with open arms.

All of a sudden, Elsa's eyes met with a pair of icy, blue eyes, which looked exactly like hers when she turned her gaze at the one next to Mrs. Frost. She didn't know what to say and she froze – wait, more like paralyzed, at the sight of the male teenager in front of her. She felt more awkward when she was with the teenager's parents, with her cheeks heating up and her saliva gulped down into her throat several times.

At the same time, she got her cue to make the first move; her second nudge on the elbow and a playful twinkle of her right eye by Anna. Elsa wanted to send Anna a death glare, even by the slightest but for that night, she let it pass and reality started to make sense to her. She almost forgot to introduce herself! Darn it.

"Uh.. The name's Elsa. Nice meeting you.. uh, Frost?"

Elsa's lips cracked into a sheepish smile and she rubbed the back of her neck, her cheeks heating up for the second time. She was zoned out earlier, making her forget his name during the prologue of the meeting.

It was rare to see her blush and her actions got a respond by the male teenager; a chuckle leaving out of his lips and he extended his hand out for a handshake. "Nice meeting you too, Elsa. The name's Frost, Jack Frost."

Elsa extended her hand out as well and shook Jack's hand as gentle as she could be. Jack's lips curled into a warm, friendly smile at the sight of the lady in front of him and he planted a kiss on Elsa's hand, in front of their own family members. Oh, Elsa didn't know how to react!

"I hope we'd get along well, Elsa. I just knew it." Jack released his hand in an extremely slow pace, not wanting to let go of Elsa's hand, which he thought as too soft, warm and comfortable for his own liking.

Elsa gave Jack a slight nod of her head (even though deep down inside her heart, she was having a major heart attack) and continued her introduction, this time to his younger sister, with an upbeat, friendly tone, to suit the latter's  young age. "Hi, I'm Elsa! It's really nice meeting you!"

His younger sister gave Elsa a slight wave of her hand and a high-five, making the two burst into a fistful of giggles. When Elsa finally got herself comfortable on her seat, her eyes met Jack's once again, her heartbeat racing faster than adrenaline. At last, she got Anna's third nudge on the elbow and infamous sheepish grin, her lips mouthing 'Elsa's in love!' and Elsa had the urge to give Anna a lesson when they were back at home after the dinner.

But Jack's name kept repeating and chanting in her head, to make sure she wouldn't forget it once again and she knew she wouldn't forget it this time. She just had her own instincts and she was one hundred percent sure of that.
