Hurtful Memoris

It was a cold, cloudy and snowy day; you were on your way home from school. The path you were going was cover with snow and with already some footprints on it.

“It’s been a while, since the sun were shining…” you mumbled to yourself as you were looking up to the sky. You then put your hand out of your jacket pocket and catch a snow flake, but as soon as it touches your hand, it melts. You were looking a few seconds on the little wet spot on your hand, before you wiped it away and started to walk again.

You were looking at the path and the memories of him and you came back. The once sweet memories you had, everything just memories. You still remembered it clearly.

It was an sunny and warm Friday.

You were walking with him in silence, only to hear where the driving cars and the singing birds. His phone in his pocket, a bit odd since the past few weeks he would text some other girls, while you both were walking home. But you didn’t mind since you were busy in your head thinking what to do in the weekend with Jay.

You snapped out of your thought as soon as you saw the cherry blossom three, that split the path in two. Both of the path were passing your house, just the one you always would use is shorter and don’t take that long, while the other one is longer and had much traffic light, so it would take longer.

“Hana…” Jay called and stopped to walk. You had a really bad feeling right now, but it was silence, he were just looking at you and thinking what to say.

He breath out. “We need to talk…” he said and you know what would happen right now.

“Jay…” you said and he walked a few step forward without looking you.

“I’m sorry Hana…but I can’t do this anymore…” he said and turn his face a bit so he could see you.

”I don’t have any feelings for you.” he added and you could see that he was smirking.

“Jay…” you called him, but he ignore it and start to walk away, leaving you alone there. You were to shocked to cry, you couldn't believe his words, after believing you were in a so solid, so stable relationship. You become flooded with concern and curiosity and the first question that you prioritize.

*Why?* *Why now?* *Why were you smiling?* but it doesn’t stop there.

*How?* *How long have you felt this way?* *What?...What did I do wrong?* *What will become of us now?*

And it continue, because those questions branched out into more, and more and more until you were left with an insatiable tree that seek the truth.

*It was a joke right??!...Yeah, it’s a joke…he will come back…* you thought and waited and waited and waited, but he didn’t came back. So you started to walk your way home. *Maybe he is hiding somewhere and want to scary/surprise me…* you thought while walking…but it never happened.

You were crying the whole weekend, your friends try to console you, but it didn’t helped. *What will happened to us now?* you thought, since he is still your neighbor.

It now passed two month since this day and you were still heartbroken. Your friends went with you to some blind dates, so you would forget him…but it didn’t work. You couldn’t forget him.

“So cold…” you mumbled to yourself while walking.

“JAYY!!!” you heard a girl calling/shouting. So you looked up and saw Jay smiling and waiting for the girl. A tear troll down your red cheek as he put his arm around her waist and start to walk your usually path home.

You wiped the tears away and continue to walk until you were standing in front of the cheery blossom tree. You was about to walk your usual path until you looked at the ground and saw Jays and the girls foot print, so you turned and took the other way. *Maybe it’s better so…I’ll now go my own way…with you or without you…* you thought.

Even know it was just a phat, it was more for you, it was a new chapter in your life. A new journey into the unknown.
