An Unexpected Invitation

The bell rang, I went to open the door and a mailman was standing before me.

“Good day ,sir, I have a delivery for Lady Eda Alden.”

“You can give it to me . Thank you for your hard work”, and I gave the man some cents, then I closed the door.

“Eda! There’s a letter for you!”

She came running down the corridor and she snatched the letter out of my hands.

“It’s an invitation to a party, hosted by the Crown Prince!”

I took the letter gently out of her hands and read it until I saw the side note: Please take all of your family with you.

“Oh no…”

I gave the letter to Eda, and pointed at the little sentence.

“I immediately have to tell Mama and Papa.”, and she ran off with the letter.

“I can’t believe this….”

I sank on a chair and putted my head in my hands. 

“I don’t want to see him again….”

I sat there for some time, spacing out.

“ Lord Eden,it’s time for your cello lessons.” , My private teacher had entered  the room.

“Yes, sir.”

We both went to the music room , I took my cello and I practised until dinner.

But I hadn’t forgotten the problems that are going to come my way.
