A A A A

"Oh lookie who we've got here? Instead of the wolf finding the bunny, the bunny found us!" said the gang leader from before.

I tried to back away. But before I knew what was happening, I felt his arms around my shoulders. I shuttered and stood there, with my blood boiling in me.

"Wanna come play with us?" he whispered into my ear. I shooked my head rapidly, but he ignored it and took my hands. "What pretty eyes you have. The color is very rich."  he said as he drew closer to my face. I looked sideways and pulled, trying to break free. Unfortunately, I cannot match his strength and I started to whimper.

"HEY! What are you doing?!?!" Let her go!" a familar voice called out.

It was Qeith, along with Ava running towards me. Qeith took me by the arms and pulled me back, falling into Ava's arms. He gazed at the gangsters and pushed the leader back. Then the leader spoke up.

"Who do you think you are? And what business do you have with us?"

Qeith answered with an angry tone, "We're her friends."

         The leader snickered. "Che. Friends."

"Don't you dare bother her again, got it? Or I'll beat that grin out of you."

The leader rolled his eyes and left along with the rest of his gang.

"Are you alright? Are you hurt? He didn't do anything to you, right?" Ava questioned while scanning my body quickly.

"No, he didn't do anything. Why are you here?" I asked in a quiet voice.

"Oh it's a good thing I was here! I was going to your house to drop off some food and I saw you with these nasty people." She stated fiercely. "Come, let's get you in the house."

I unlocked the door and slowly walked in, with Ava and Qeith trailing behind me. I sat down gently.

"Look, Win. I know that you have to work to support yourself now that Uncle and Auntie passed away, fine. But you have to get home earlier, okay? Otherwise trouble like that will happen again."Ava said with a calm voice.

"Yeah, Ava's right. And you might not get as lucky as this time, we're not gonna be by your side always. You know what I mean?" Qeith added.

Ava suddenly giggled. "Maybe Win was just so pretty that she attracted many guys." she joked. Qeith nudged her.

"Anyways, do you get the point, Winne?" Qeith asked again.

I stayed quietly for a moment, then nodded my head. "I'll talk to Ms. Tracy about it."

Ava stroked my hand "Good girl." and smiled. "Oooh! We've better go now. It's getting late. Good night, Win."

         "Good night." I replied back.

That night, I tried to sleep, but the weariness is just not taking over. I kept on replaying the scene of me getting held and touched by that person. It seems that on his left hand, the upper arm had a tatoo of a backwards "4" with curled ends. I don't seem to remember the other members, but if anything happens, I won't be able to identify all of them. At times like this, my mother would usually explain to me something related to philosophy and and then she would tell me what to do in the future.

However, they're gone now. Both of them. They're no longer part of my life anymore. Just thinking about it made my body numb. Slowly, I drifted to sleep.
