Three months he have been avoiding her. She didn’t knew the reason or cause for this behaviour. Did she do something wrong? Or maybe said something? She would never know. No matter how angry he get, Paul never ignored her, in fact he always followed her in step to try and solve issues between them but not this time.

His father didn’t knew where Paul is spending time and she gave up even stopping by. She went to house of Billy Black but she got the same answer. And what she did? She snapped at him and insulted him and Sam. But Billy didn’t throw her out of house instead he let her stay and gave her sympathetic look.

She would stop having silly ideas that Paul have joined a cult if she wouldn't see him with Sam and his wannabes. In fact, her imagination went wild and imagined Paul snorting the cocaine. She definitely needed to talk to him. This shit needed to be stopped. It’s not in her blood to give up. No, mister. When she wants to get something she would go with head through the wall.

She stalked on First beach, leaving her bike by the side of road. She could hear the voices of people which noted that some tourists were there or maybe people with families spending summer holidays, she wasn't sure nor she give a fuck.

Those weren’t voices of tourists, they were in fact Sam’s gang. Her blood boiled when she spotted there her two best friends.

Asshole 1: Paul Lahote

Asshole 2: Jacob Black

The other boys have spotted her and so did Sam, without hesitation she walked towards them. Jacob’s eyes were panicked on which Aria snorted. Was he afraid now? What a pussy. She thought.

“Aria..” Paul spoken. Aww, he remembers me now. How cute. She thought as she glared at him.

“You aren’t suppose to be here...” Jacob spoken.

“I am not supposed to be here? Says who?” Aria sneered.”Your boss, or these wannabes?”

“Do not call them like that!” Paul hissed approaching her, on which Aria looked at him with exact glare.

“You.Are.Not.Going.To.Tell.Me.What.To.Say.Or.Do.” She poked Paul’s chest with every word she said.

“We should take this somewhere else...” Sam’s voice became much worse for Aria’s temper on which she turned and glare.

“....So what? Why do I care about that?” Aria snapped at him on which he put his arms up then glared at Embry who starred at her which made all her blood frozen in her body.

Why did he stared at her? What’s happening to him? She became confused at how her heart reacted and she tried to close it, to put up firmly the invisible wall but it was impossible.

“You promised that you would stay.” Aria said those words to Paul who looked at her.

“I screwed up...But I..didn’t mean to do that.” Paul whispered.

“There’s a reason why we did this. But it’s not our place to say.” Jacob finnished instead of Paul glancing at Embry, Aria followed direction at where he was gazing and she looked at Embry.

“And what exactly Embry should tell me?” Aria asked skeptically.

“Aria what do you know about the Quileute legends?” Embry asked her softly.

No matter how much she tried she couldn’t look away from him, it was as if his eyes hypnotised her. She even forgot the fact that they weren’t alone. And all thanks to Embry.

“Harry Clearwater used to tell me stories about how our ancestors used to change into wolves or something, so I didn’t need to be afraid of the monsters in my room. Because the wolves would chase them away.” Aria responded, causing others to chuckle.

She looked at them and hissed through teeth, letting them know that she is not in the mood for teasing.

“What you would say, if I told you that they are truth?” It was Aria’s turn to stare at him. She wasn’t from the people that would instantly call them lunatics and she wouldn’t judged them. She, herself have started to believe in those legends when she have heard them for the first time.

But now, she needed sort of proof to know that they are not joking. She bit her lip and said,”I need a proof.” With those words, Sam looked at others and nodded. She tilted her head and then Embry took her hand.

She want to pull away but his grip was tight. She frowned at him.

“Turn around and count until 10.” Aria do exactly what he said and took deep breath and began to count, her ears intently listening every sort of sound.

It seemed like eternity passed until he hadn't heard heavy footsteps behind her, adrenalin slowly rising within her, she slowly trembled, she bit her lip and closed her eyes. She slowly turned around to face five horse-sized giant wolves starring at her.

She pursed lips, glancing at every each one of them. Her glance naturally stayed on the one that stared at her, he had Embry’s soft eyes. And there was something in him which made her heart beat faster. Was this Embry? She wondered.

She bolded her hands into fists as she looked at grey wolf with black spots on its back. “Embry?” The wolf nodded and she slowly approached him.

The wolves walked back to the forest soon after Sam walked in his human form along with Jared, Paul, Jacob and Embry. She felt tense atmosphere like there is something else apart from wolf legend.

“There’s other legend about imprints.” Embry said.

Aria’s eyes widened a little and she folded her arms, she somehow don’t liked where is this going but she kept her mouth shut.

“That legends exists too?”

“Yes.”

“Okay, and why are you telling me all this?”

“Because I imprinted on you.”

Because I imprinted on you...

The words echoed in her head. This is something she definitely didn't expected. Does she really want to accept this. She wasn’t sure, but Taha Aki obviously loves to play with destiny. No matter how much she tried, she knew there’s no escape.
