A A A A

We'd made it,
survived yet another night.

Off to start another day,
Meto's form was adored in a light blue dress,
raven locks hanging straight for once.

In her place,
seated in her wheelchair -
she was confronted by him.

He who is the true monster,
the problem that makes her cry,
the reasons for her scarred skin.

The blonde male named MiA-
the name bitter on my tongue.

He took the one thing that kept her sane,
the one thing she truly loved-
He took the bear from her arms.

The world stopped.

Her visible eye filled with tears,
they weren't tears of sadness,
but of anger.

The sient, weak Meto that everyone knew no longer existed.

MiA smirked.
Meto snapped.

He took her bear.
She took his flesh.

It was all too quick,
it was a blur.

MiA's cheek was covered in blood,
Meto's nails staining her teddy bear's light brown furr,
- she spoke.

"Koichi, take me home"

I only nodded,
starting to wheel her home.

"Have..I done wrong?"
Her voice was barely audible.

"Not in my eyes"

I knew she was smiling,
simply through her voice,

"Sing to me, Koichi-"

I smiled.

"-The song of forgiveness"

It faded, "I can't"

I never wanted to say those words to her,
I knew how bad they hurt to hear.

From my position,
I saw her arms tighten around the bear.

"Meto, I do--"

"Stop talking."

She didn't say one word to me for the rest of the day,
until she'd gotten into bed.

"Sing me a lullaby, Koichi..the lullaby to make me feel safe"

That, I could do.
