it felt like falling,

confusion, dread, excitement,

it felt like scrapping his nails against

the material of one of his expensive

bed-sheets and finding the remains of

the love-story he whispered just the night

before to one of his mistress, before he

pushed her out of his room and out of

heart completely. only that this time,

he was anything but in control, certainty

being a luxury around her.
