Hotlink

Inline linking (also known as hotlinkingleechingpiggy-backingdirect linkingoffsite image grabs) is the use of a linked object, often an image, from one site by a web page belonging to a second site. The second site is said to have an inline link to the site where the object is located.(c*)

In other words, the traditional way of ours.

You clicked at the link provided by the designer.

You copied the direct URL or link of the poster and pasted it on your story or whatever.

Then bam! You have a poster!

But when someone says, DO NOT hotlink. It means do not use the link provided by the designer.

wait-WHAT?

Let's clear some blurry spots here.

In my case, I do not encourage hotlinking mainly because I may delete posters that I uploaded.

And that will cause your poster to be poof! gone.

So here's what you gonna do.

Open the link in the new tab.

Right click and save the image to your computer.

Upload it on a image sharing website using your own account.

Right click and copy the image's URL

Go to your story or whatever.

PASTE!

And that's how peeps, you do not do hotlinking. *smirks*
