THE DE GRACE FAMILY

The De Grace family members are mostly male. The leader of the family had 7 wives. All dead. Octave De Grace, Isobel and Catriona's 1100 year old grandfather. From the seven wives he had 7 sons and only 2 daughters.

And with 9 children, Octave had 25 grandchildren. Catriona was Jeremiah's daughter and Isobel was Camilla's. The other 23 cousins were all males. 

Camilla and Angelique were twins. The daughters from an unknown mother. Sent to Octave when they were babies.The only daugters Octave had were reckless and stone-hearted. Camilla went to Europe enslaving men and drinking rich men's blood. Her favourite. "The ones who consume the best and most nutritious food," she said. While Angelique, like her sister hunted for men in in business world. She lured them with her long accumulated knowledge and intelligence and signed business deal with them. Turned them into vampires and associates she could use anytime when she needed. 

The De Grace family lived in their castle. Octave, his seven sons and their families. Camilla and Angelique both lived in Europe. Protesting that  they had no rights in the family as they were illegitimate. 

His other sons ran their family business. Diamond mining. While the other grandsons were all home-schooled to avoid contact with human world. 

Catriona ran away when she was 115 and lived with Angelique because she wanted to see the human world.
