A A A A

“If I ruled the world.” The brown haired girl started as she crossed her slender legs and placed her delicate white hands on her knee. “It would be a much better place.”
“Oh really?” Larsa mused; setting his ballpoint down on the desk in front of him and looking up to address the girl perched on a seat some feet away. “And why, may I ask, would that be?”
Joanna smirked, pleased that the dark haired Emperor had taken the bait. This could be her only chance to annoy him. “Well for starters, if I ruled the world, no one would be poor.”
“They wouldn’t?” The boy raised a brow.
She shook her head – brown hair flowing loosely down her back. “Of course not! I’d be sure everyone had an equal amount of money.”
Larsa made a low sound of thoughtfulness as he held back a chuckle at the girl’s childish desires. “And how do you plan on doing that?” When the girl gave a startled look, the male sighed. “It’s not as easy as collecting all the money in the world and distributing it equally. Finances don’t work that way.”
The innocent minded teenager gave an unconscious pout that did not go unnoticed by the slightly younger boy. “Alright fine! Then…Nobody would be without a parent.” She spoke quickly and without thinking.
Although Larsa wished to make a joke, he suspected the matter hit close to home for the girl. “How would that work?” He asked cautiously.
“Nobody would die.” She responded as she uncrossed her legs and sat straight.
“What about disease? Old age?” Larsa prodded, finding some amusement in the girl’s quick to anger attitude.
Joanna puffed her cheeks out and crossed her arms. This was quickly backfiring as she seemed to be the only one growing angry. “They wouldn’t exist.”
“Why not?” He asked, catching onto the fact the girl hadn’t thought her argument through. “The world would over populate and people would starve.”
“No they wouldn’t because I said ‘they wouldn’t’ and I’d rule the world!”
Larsa couldn’t help but giggle at the girl’s raised voice – her face slightly red from anger as she bit her lip. “You’re too funny Joanna. You should learn to control your emotions.”
“Well you should learn not to tease me.” The teenage girl replied, her frown slowly becoming a smile as she laughed along with him – admitting defeat. “Maybe politics aren’t for me.”

Yep, short oneshot/long drabble. Or however you want to look at it. I don't care.
