A A A A

"What a tedious day."

She said to herself while holding up her cute back pack getting ready to leave from the eatery.

The rain just stopped. No. Not really stop. More like, just slowed down. Rain.

Leaving the busy street that mellow atmosphere. She walks slowly.

Step by step. Trying to smell the scent the wet road gives off.

Looking up the sky, she inhales deeply and tried exhaling in a relaxed manner.

"It's great." She murmured.

Drips are still felt as she walk towards the school campus. It was lunch break.

There was no one in the corridor. The hallway was empty and a deafening silence comes with the clinging sound of gently dripping raindrops.

She continued walking in search for her classroom. Her footsteps echoed.

"There's .. a song .. that's inside." She takes a big sigh. "Of my soul."

Michelle sings in a weary manner as she reaches out her left hand then place it just right below the only flare of the sun that has escaped from the soft yet heavy clouds.

She's coming closer to her room as she cluelessly keep on taking lazy steps.

"It's ... the one that I've tried ..." this time it has more melody. "To write over and over again."

"I'm awake .. --"  She was stratled. Strings. Guitar. Strings. Guitar strings accompanied her singing.

Right before she noticed it, she was already in front of the door of her dear classroom.

"It's coming from here." She immediately and carefully searched for the heavenly music.

A well poistured latter caught her attention. "It's him?" She was unsure.

"I'm awake in the infinite cold." She hopes it works. And yes it did. The young guy strummed the guitar.

His broad back was facing her so she couldn't really see how he lovingly caress those strings.

But she can tell. She is sure. That his pretty hand softly runs through the instrument. Swiftly, strinng by string.

She sings. He continued strumming.

"You're my only hope." She finished that last line whole heartedly as he plucked the last string passionately.

Overwhelmed, the two youngsters let out soft inaudible laughs.

"I'm Michelle." She smiles innocently. "Nice play."

"Nice voice." He smiles shyly. "Adam."

There was a long pause of silence. But not the awkward one. Because, for them, words aren't necessary. It was music that had led them to each other. Thus, music shall be enough for them to know how the other one feels.

The rain had totally stopped. Bright, reddish sun flare shine through the windows, bringing warmth.

Just like how a simple music could bring warmth to two strangers' minstrel hearts.
