7. misplaced

 

I spent a day searching for a camera lens which I misplaced. I got really frustrated because I couldn't find it anywhere. You told me to calm down and think of where I last put my lens but I didn't listen. Instead, I took out my anger on you. An argument turned into an exchange of insults. In the end you got so pissed off at me that you stormed out of the house. 

I never told you this but for three days I didn't sleep well because your side of the bed was empty. When you came back on the fourth day I didn't hesitate to pull you into a hug. I told you I was sorry for taking out my anger on you but you said that you were at fault too for over-reacting. We made up and I found my camera lens in my office.

I owe it to that lens which I still keep even after getting a new camera. It made me realise that the stupidest thing I have ever done was misplacing you.
