Part I

------------------------------

It started out as recurrent dreams that became more vivid, but each time I woke up, I only remember a beautiful mansion. There were so many rooms and so many colors, but it had always been empty.

The place felt so real that the mansion had began to seem like a real place.

This dream comes every night like a ghost who haunts the one that stole their life. It's the same every night, I wake up in a empty field that was once filled with life of all sorts of colors, and I stand in front of the mansion to take in all the small details. The structure was losing the heart of the mansion's very dark cream color, but the majestic aura still surrounds the house as if it hadn't been standing here for a century. I make my way inside to the foyer where two grand cyrstal lights hang on the painted ceiling, everytime I put one foot forward after the other it would echo down the hallway, it was deafeningly quiet. My body then automatically turn itself to face a magnificent ballroom where a beautiful piano piece was playing even though the room was empty.

There was something different this time.

Turn around

A voice tells me and I do so on his command, there was no one there.

Turn around

I face the ballroom again and this time a man was standing there. He was wearing a well-tailored suit but I couldn't see his face, yet I feel like I know him. He motioned for me to go to him and my body would obey without any hesitation, but before I could reach the man, I wake up from my dream.

I had fallen asleep on the couch and was gripping onto a pen to the point my knuckles lost its colors.

In my hand was an unfinished sketch of the man in my dream.
