Chapter 1

It was a nice autumn day, you and Jay were just walking out from your favorite coffee shop, you both bought a hot chocolate and were now walking to the nearest park, where you two had a lot of memories together. A peaceful little park, with beautiful cheery blossom trees. You both walked to your usual bank, where you had a great view over the park.

It was quiet between you two; you guys just blow at the hot chocolate in your hands and sip on it while looking at the playing children. A smile appears on your face as you saw them playing so carefree. It remembered you about the past, how you and your big brother were playing with his/your friends (only guys). Not caring about the adults stuff/problems, just having fun and enjoying your life…but time pass, school came and everything changes, you, your big brother and your other friends didn’t play often nor saw each other and so you slowly went your own path. But you would see them now once or twice a mouth cuz they were still living in the same apartment complex. Different school, different types of friend and different hobbies were now splitting you apart. Your guy friends were really handsome, had a sense of fashion and are charming so no wonder that they were ‘popular kids in their schools, while you were just a nerdy looking girl, that was way too shy, innocent and caring, that hates attention but also hates being alone. What you mostly are, cuz your parents were workaholics, always busy with their jobs, your brother wasn’t better, you nearly never saw him cuz he came really late at home and went out really early or he didn’t come home. Anyway back to the story…

You were holding the hot chocolate with both hand and take a sip. “So…Jay…how was it?” you started while looking at him.

“How was what?” he asked as he faces you.

“Don’t act like you don’t know about what I’m talking about” you said but he didn’t answered, so you turn your face and watch at the childrens. “How was the date with Tiffany?”

Lee Tiffany, you know her for almost six years now so she turns to your bestfriend…or so called best friend who can be sometimes be a fake friend. Why? Because almost every time you tell her that you had a crush on a boy, she would always act to help you with him, but in the end she manipulated the guys to fall for her and not for you. What really annoys you cuz she would always have a new guy in a month. The longest relationship she ever, EVER had was six month and the shortest was one week. A girl that hates being single.

 

So last week, Jay was waiting for you and Tiffany at the cinema, at first you two wanted to spend time, but as soon as Tiffany heard about it she asked you if she can come along, so you were a person which finds hard to say ‘no’. So that’s why she came along, even know she knew you like Jay she also started to like him. After the movie was over, she drags you to the girls restroom which was full of girls putting make up or getting to the toilet.

“Unnie, I think I’m falling for Jay .” she said as she wash her hand and look into the mirror at you.

“Oh…really?...” you said while looking at her.

“I hope you don’t mind.” she said and went pass you to dry her hands with some tissue and walked out of the rest room leaving you alone.

Should I be surprised about that? you thought and also walked out after drying your hands. You saw she walking toward Jay happily and so you walked behind her.

“Jay!” she called. “Ehm…” she lifts her hands in front of her chest and press her index finger with the other one. “Would you go on a date with me?” she acted shyly while looking at her finger.

Jay shocked looked at you, who didn’t seems to be surprise with this.

“Ehm…” he thought. “Okayyy…why not?...” he said and looked the whole time at you.

“Really?!!” Tiffany jumped around like crazy. “Thanks!!” she said and huge him.

 

“Oh…it was okay…”

“Really…cuz she told me that it was really grate and she want to have another date with you…sooo…what do you say?”

“The first date was okay…but I don’t know…what do you think?” he asked still looking at you.

“It's not my business!” you said really coldhearted.

“Okay then…” he said and pulled his phone out.

“What are you doing?” you asked while looking at him.

“Calling her and ask when she has time again for the second date!”

“Okay…” you said and looked back to the childrens, you didn’t know what happened but you saw one of them sitting on the ground, crying and holding his knee. So you stand up with your bag and walked to him. But you still could hear a the beginning of the conversation Jays conversation with Tiffany.  “Hey Tiffany…I wanted to talk about the second date…” you heard.

 

“Hey Tiffany…I wanted to talk about the second date…” he started while looking at you walking to the crying child.

“Yeah?”

“I’m sorry but there’ll not be a next date…I don’t see a future for us two together…I’m really sorry.” he said and could hear her starting to cry.

“I hope we could still be friends…” he said but she didn’t say anything, she just hung up. He watched you cleaning the wound of the child and then giving him a candy. The little boy stopped to cry as soon as you were finish and huge you as you gave him the candy.

“Play with us!!” the kids say while pulling your hands.

“Okay…” you said and smiled at them. “Jay!! Catch it!!” you shouted and throw your bag at Jay, what he luckily catch. “Nice.” you shouted and gave him a thumbs up before started to play catch with them, you’re really good at taking care of little childrens, which makes you to a grate mom. What you never realize but Jay did, he watched you how you play with the children and somehow he lost himself in his thought. Thinking about you and him, if there is any change for him to be more as a friend to you. Yeah, he likes you, he started to fall for you on the first time you meet, he knew you was the only one for him, but you both didn’t wanted to first move cuz you were scared that it would ruin your friendship.

“Okay I need to go now.” “But!” the kids protested. “My friend is waiting…” you said and pointed and Jay, who was lost in his thought. “Oh..Okay!” they said and smiled at each other. “Take care of you!” you said and ruffle each head. “Ne~ enjoy your date!!” they all said in sync. You just smiled at them and run toward Jay.

You bend over to his eye level and looked into his eyes, you smiled at yourself seeing him so lost, it was rarely to see that he was so lost, so you took the opportunity. You quickly took your phone out and waked a few steps backwards to make some photos of him. Cute~ Then you went back to the old position, you star into his eyes and started to call him lovely. “Jay~…Jay~” you said until he snap out of his thought. Jay snapped out of his thought as he heard you calling him, he was a bit surprise seeing you so close to him, but then a smile appear on his face seeing you smiling so brightly at him. “Jay~ le-”

*Honk* a hooping car brought Jay to the reality, the sweet memories he had with you were just now only memories. He exhale and then looked at his watch, it was time to go, so he stand up and went to an flower shop and brought your favorite flowers. Then he went to this next destination, the hospital. He great the doctors and nurses that were passing him, he almost knew everyone in the hospital, cuz he was really often there. He take a deep breath as he stand in front of the door from room A1004, he slide the door open and saw you sleeping peacefully in your bed, then he greeted your parents.

“We’ll leave you with her…” your mom said and walked out with your dad.

“Thanks…” he said and went over to the vase with the faded flowers, he throw the old flowers away and changes the water, before he put in the new one and put them back to their usual place.

He sit down next to the window and faced you, he hold your cold hand and started to tell you about his day and what happened between the time he hasn’t visit you, which didn’t really take long. So the rest of the time he holds your hand and strokes it, while looking at you lovely.

“Sir, it’s about time to go.” a nurse said as she passed your room.

“Yes…” he said and stand up and the nurse left.

“It’s about time to wake up my princess…” he said and bent over to your forehead. “You’ve sleep way to long…” he said and kissed you, before he started to walk toward the door, he take a last look before he left the room.

It was almost two years now since you’re in a coma, two years you were lying on the bed and didn’t move, your medicinal result were always the same, it wasn’t good nor bad, it was just ordinary for a coma patient. The doctors know you would wake up one day, but they can’t say how long it would takes, at first they said you would wake up soon, but soon never came.
