Chapter 2 Part 1

I walked in and out from one fashion store to another, I just can’t help buy the new classy fashion trends, and they look so good on tumblr! This is the first time in 3 months I’ve shopped for new clothes and I’m happy that the stores had my tastes on clothing this month. I really like simple yet classy, something that would make me look cool and intimidate other females with my fashion, something boy-ish yet still suites me as a girl, that’s me type of style.

Glancing at my clock I realised that it was around 7pm already, I better get home since its Monday again tomorrow, why does time run so fast when you’re having fun? Tsk I hate that fact. As I stopped on the crossing, I noticed a group of good looking me across the street, not just good looking as a matter of fact, they’re noisy as well. Geeze boys these days, they’re even louder than monkeys in a zoo.

While crossing, I noticed that familiar handsome face that I solely wanted to punch, it was Erick Yamazaki. The demon in disguise, he’s should be thankful for having that perfect face of his. I bet his fair complexion is what attracts girls the most. Seconding that is his eyes, his eyes are narrow and heavy lidded which creates this intense gaze. Third is his smile, I’ve only seen him smile once but I know it was a fake one but I have to say, his smile makes it easy for girls to fall in love with him; he has perfect teeth and his smile goes from cheek to cheek but when he’s not smiling he still looks good anyway! Seriously, I personally love his natural red lips, makes me wonder if he’s pure Japanese. Lastly is his hair, he has black hair but when shown in direct sunlight it turns light brown, he has this neat hairstyle which suits him perfectly.

I wonder what he’s doing out here? I thought he didn’t have any friends? And why do I even want to know?! Aish! Just go home Jordanne, who gives a damn what that boy is up to.

*** Fast Forward ***

I jumped on my bed, “Ahh~ it’s so nice living alone where no one else is bothering you but you.” I said to myself as I stared at the wall. I dropped my smile and thought about what would happen to me in the future. In this stage of my life I’m finding it hard to cope, I don’t know how to achieve my dream when my parents are blocking the way and the fact that they mentioned marriage! MARRIAGE! And the worst part of that is I have to marry my second cousin who I barely know and is my cousin! That’s effed up! It would be okay if it’s another son from another company but still I would refuse though… BUT my cousin?! EW! How can my parents not find this disgusting? Oh wait, it’s because they’re cousins, how can I forget that. They should at least share these beautiful genes to another beautiful gene. The things they do to keep the family company within the family: No other genes allowed but the Moon family genes.

But anyway, I still can’t believe someone with an angelic face could have a horrible personality! Oh that poor girl, I wonder if she’s okay. I hope she’s not assuming that, that demon would make a move on her or else she would get hurt even more. I hate guys like that; his type caused me to lose my big sister. I hate guys like him.

 

*** Monday Morning ***

I rushed to the train station because um, I’m going to be late for the train! Ugh! So many people pushing and shoving! Pushing each other would make this flow slower people, more of us humans needs to use our heads seriously. After that suffocating ride on the escalator, I finally felt the platform underneath my shoes then I snaked my way around people and chose a spot to stand and wait.

I was hoping I’d get space but I was wrong, down here is worse! I’m getting squished into a paper! Good thing this person on my left is firmly standing or else I would have fallen over. Hm… this person smells really good! I looked to see what the person looked like and I saw the person I hate. What the heck is he doing here? Don’t tell me he lives near me?! Man if he saw me when I called him Satan he’s going to kill me! Omg, should I hide or not? Na, hiding would make it obvious it was me and plus there’s nowhere to hide at. I quickly turned my head away from him and then glanced at him in my peripheral vision, he looked like he doesn’t know anything, and he’s just listening to his music…. We good.

 After an hour like wait the train finally arrived and still everybody pushed in and the train ride didn’t feel like a train ride, it felt like we were sardines in a can making its way to be sold. I lost sight of Erick as well which is a good thing, oh man, I have so much to tell Sachi.

“What did you say?! You used to like Erick and you confessed to him and got rejected too!?” My mouth dropped in disbelief. How can someone like him reject someone so beautiful like Sachi? That guy is messed up in the head seriously. I told Sachi everything I saw and everything that happened and apparently he said the same thing to her years ago. It was nothing to her now, I expected that from Sachi, she didn’t look like the girl to be stuck on one guy and thanks to her right decisions she’s been in a relationship with Keith Reynolds for a year now.

“Don’t tell anybody this but you know Isabella Blanc right?” She asked and I nodded as a response, “She was the only that knows something about Erick, she used to be my friend but she just distanced herself without explanation.” She shrugged.

“Oh I see, she seems like a nice girl too, I bet that jerk did something bad to her but who knows.” I shrugged as well, “One day, I’m going to break that guy’s heart and when I do, he will feel the pain he caused to those girls including you and Isabella.” I smugly said as I stared into the distance and Sachi laughed at what I said.

“You’re such a funny girl Jordanne.” She shook her head as she continued giggling.

“I’m serious! Somebody needs to teach that guy a lesson and it’s going to be me!” I pointed at myself, making Sachi smile wider.

“And what are you planning to do?” She raised her eyebrow.

“I’ll think of something and when I do, just sit back and watch.” I told her and rubbed my hands together. Sachi shook her head again and the atmosphere between them became quiet, “You want that delicious coffee bread that they sell downstairs? I’ll buy some for the both of us if you want one?” I broke the silence.

“Oh those ones!? Yes please I haven’t had any in a while.” Sachi glued her hands together and shook them.

“Okay I’ll be right back!” I grabbed my purse and ran out of the classroom. I jogged my way all the way to the ground floor where they were selling them and thankfully the line wasn’t that long anymore since second break is almost over!

It took about three minutes before I arrived at the front of the line and when I got there, there were only five coffee breads left, I looked behind me and luckily there were no people behind me!! Today is a lucky day! So I bought all the coffee bread and jogged my way back to the class when I accidentally bumped shoulders with someone, “Sorry!”

“Haha It’s alright. Whoa, mind sharing those coffee breads?” The guy chuckled.

“Oh uh, sure if you want one.” I uncertainly answered him.

“I’m kidding. Oh hang on a second! Aren’t you the girl who bumped into me couple of days ago?” He asked his head slightly tilted. I closely looked at his face and YEAH! It was him, “Wow this must be fate.” He chuckled.

“Sorry what? Fate?” I snickered. What kind of cheese ball is he? Somebody ate too much cheese.

“Yeah fate, we bumped into each other again out of all the people here.” He looked around, “I’m Taichi Kamiya by the way. Nice to meet you…?”

“Jordanne.” I smiled.

“Jordanne, nice name it suits you!” he complimented, “Anyways I think I’ll let you go now, I have a feeling you’re not eating all those bread by yourself.” He chuckled.

“Oh yeah! Haha. Here have one!” I quickly gave him one and walked away. I looked at him and he gave me thumbs up as a way of saying thanks and I gave him the same response then he went inside when I bumped onto someone…again!

“I’m sorry- Taichi-kun?!” I slightly shouted in surprise then this guy laughed…oh he must be the twin; I thought they didn’t look alike?

“I’m Shun, Taichi’s twin, sorry about that, I’ll see you later.” He smiled and patted my head as he walked past me. Wow, he and Taichi seems different from each other, this guy is less talkative. I watched him enter the same room and continued my journey to my classroom. Seriously, if I bump into another guy I will not back out on making Erick Yamazaki my boyfriend!

I checked on the coffee breads to make sure they’re still good when, “OW!” I fell on my butt causing the coffee breads to fall on the ground. I gasped and quickly picked them up and a hand gave me the last coffee breads, I grabbed it from the person and then ran away from him. Geeze why out of all the people why did it have to be Erick?

*Author’s POV*

Erick got called into the Teacher’s office to collect something to put into the classroom. He was casually browsing through his phone when he bumped into a girl causing her to fall on her butt and the bread she was holding on the floor. He saw that the girl quickly took her breads back, so he decided to give her the one closest to his feet but when the girl saw him, she ran and never said a word. Erick thought that she was strange for a second then he shrugged it off his mind.

He knocked on the Teacher’s office where his Biology teacher opened it for him.

“Ah! Erick, come inside,” Said the teacher gesturing him to enter the room, so Erick followed, “Here! I need you to take these booklets back to the classroom; we’ll be needing them this afternoon.” The teacher pointed at the booklets on the floor beside his desk and Erick went over and carried them all, saying nothing as he walked out.

A few minutes after Erick came to the classroom with the booklets, the teacher soon followed. They commenced class the usual way, staring off with writing notes, the teacher explaining the lesson, answering short quizzes and finally some team tasks.

“Alright class! Before the class is over I will put you into pairs. At each table there are words split into two, you then have to reconnect those words to its original pair. These words are diseases by the way. I will now call out who’s to be paired with; Tristan Hiddleston and Isabella Blanc, Shinichi Izumi and Yuki Futaba, David Kwon and Miho Suzuki, Sachi Valdez and Kakeru Yamamoto, Erick Yamazaki and Jordanne Moon…” Their Biology teacher kept calling out names.

Jordanne swallowed the lump stuck on her throat meanwhile Erick didn’t care. Other girls in the class was jealous of Jordanne since Erick always worked by himself but now that they had an equal amount of students, the girls were hoping they’d get to work with Erick. After getting everyone partnered up, the boys were asked to move to their female partners.

“Alright your partner today will be your partner for the rest of the year! First one who finishes first gets a voucher to eat at their favourite café for free!” The teacher announced as he showed the class the vouchers.

Jordanne took the laminated words out of the paper and spread them neatly on the table, not even looking at Erick or speaking to him. It’s like they weren’t partners at all, Jordanne only stared at the cards while Erick observed Jordanne.

“This one’s Appendicitis, which means inflammatory of the Appendix.” Erick paired ‘appendic’ and ‘itis’ together, “This one is Tuberculosis, this one is Ophthalmoplegia, this one is Meningitis, next is Osteoporosis, hmm this one’s a bit tricky but I think its Meningococcemia and this one’s got to be Mononucleosis, this is Achondroplasia, then Toxoplasmosis, and this last one is Pneumonia.” Erick paired everything up and called the teacher to check his answer. Erick never failed to impress his teacher since he’s got them all right in one go.

“Time’s up! We got a winner which is Erick and Jordanne! Clap for them please,” The teacher commanded, causing the class to clap while the teacher gave out the vouchers to the winners, “Alright back to your places and talk quietly until the bell rings!”

“It was nice working with you, here have my voucher… I don’t need it.” Erick smiled at Jordanne and moved back to his seat. Jordanne chuckled in disbelief since she felt like Erick was mocking her for letting him figure out all the answers by himself. Jordanne then stared at outside the window thinking that Erick wasn’t only a horrible person but a cocky one too. ‘Well at least I got a free voucher because him.’ She thought.

*Jordanne’s POV*

As soon as the bells rang my classmates ran towards the door in a flash. I waited for Sachi to finish packing her stuff so that we could go together. As usual by the time we got to the ground floor, the school was quiet as space.

“So how was working with the famous Erick Yamazaki?” Sachi nudged my side as she closed her locker.

“It was okay, he’s smart so he answered everything by himself. He’s a show off though, it’s like he mocked me at the end by saying ‘it was nice working with you’” I re-enacted what Erick said, mocking his voice exaggeratedly.

“Well at least he gave you his voucher! Now we could eat together!” Sachi clapped at the thought. I gave her the other voucher so that I could make up from the last time I skipped her invitation, “So when are you going to make him your BF?”

“Soon. Now let’s go before it gets dark!” I pulled Sachi out. We laughed on the way towards the gate when something familiar caught my attention. It was another confession for Erick, “Omg Sachi you have got to see this.” I pulled Sachi with me at the corner to eavesdrop and Im actually going to video the whole thing. This girl with Erick was telling him how she admired him, I can’t clearly hear what she was saying since she’s got a soft quietly voice.

“K, I’ll be your boyfriend.” Erick interrupted the girl who was talking. My mouth dropped along with Sachi’s, are we hearing this right? Did Erick really just agree to be this girl’s boyfriend?! I think I’m losing my mind.

“W-What?” The girl stuttered, she was shocked, overwhelmed, happy, arhg! I could tell she felt everything!

“Okay now, I’m breaking up with you.” Erick nonchalantly said to the girl. My jaw dug a hole all the way to Antarctica because of this scene, same goes for Sachi. We looked at each other our mouths hanging wide open.

“I never knew he was this…bad.” Sachi whispered to me and I nodded in response.

“W-we just got together and now you’re breaking up with me?” The girl asked enraged, she couldn’t believe what she heard.

“Well that’s what you wanted right? Get a chance to be my girlfriend and then brag about it. You got what you wanted now get the hell out of my life.” He emotionlessly answered the girl. I was shocked that he actually didn’t sweet talk the girl; I think somebody listened to me that day AHAHA! I don’t know what came over me but I stepped out, out into the blue.

“Erick Yamazaki! From now on, you’re my boyfriend!!” I shouted so that he would hear me clearly. I heard Sachi and the girl gasped in shock and yes I was still videoing thing and I made it obvious. Erick turned around looking disturbed, his eyebrows said it all. Before he could speak I said, “and now I’m breaking up with you! BYE BYE!” I ran and pulled Sachi with me. I swear I heard the girl giggle at what I did before I left. Oh man, now that Erick knows who I am, I’m so dead.

“HAHAHAHA I can’t believe you had the guts to do that Jordanne! I salute you so hard!” Sachi laughed as she watched the video for the hundredth time. She wiped her tears of joy and ate her crepe.

“Hey I might’ve gotten the guts today but I’m pretty sure I’m in deeeep trouble tomorrow.” I groaned and banged my head on the table on purpose. Sachi laughed and placed her hands on the table to prevent me from hurting myself.

“Pft! What can that Yamazaki do? He can’t hurt you because if he does, it will go back against him.” Sachi reassured me that I’ll be fine and patted my head.

“Protect me okay Sachi! You’re now officially my guardian angel!” I faked cried as I ate my crepe ice cream.
