Day 5

"Yukino -chan,  did she like the picture?"

The location was in the garden. The members decided to change their location for breakfast. Shuichi who was sitting across
Yukino asked her while munching on his toast.

"Yes, she was very delighted. She said thank you." Akane was extremely happy to get the sexy pictures. She thanked Yukino ten
times every 3 minutes.

But Yukino couldn’t say such an embarrassing action to him, so she shortened 2/3 of her sentence.

"Hey, see this." Rinto shouted. He placed something on the table. It was a small photo album.

"Gah! Why do you have it!?" The sentence was Taiga’s. He stood up very fast which made his chair to fall.

"I went through your drawers yesterday. " Rinto innocently explained himself. Their actions made everyone burst into a quiet
laughter.

Taiga made an attempt to take his album. In the end, he was too late as Shuichi reached for the album faster than him.
The group had opened it and laughed at the first picture.

In the picture, little Taiga was in a dress with lots of bows. Standing beside him was two girls in a Butler like uniform.

"Yuki-chan, this is you? " Rinto excitedly pointed at the girl on the left.

"I think so." The real person herself was unsure as she didn’t have her memories of the past.

"Cute. The right one is Akane? " Shuichi joined in.

"Yeah, she was really annoying. " Taiga said, giving up from taking his album back.

Taiga sat back in his seat looking at Yukino who was giggling silently. Yukino was giggling because she was imagining Akane
doing something to Taiga.

The thought of Akane tricking Taiga and made fun of him was funny as their personality sort of matched in her mind.

"Sora, look, Yukino’s so cute in this picture." Rinto excitedly said to Sora who was secretly looking at the album.

"Hmm."

"Ah! I’m late, I have to go to my sister’s. " Tsukasa suddenly yelled out.

"Your sister’s? I wanna go to, can I?" Rinto happily asked.

Tsukasa’s sister owns a fashion brand which was Cueen. Tsukasa was asked by his sister to help out around the store and at the
same time attracting customers and promote emiT.

"Sure, Shu, you too. "

"Alright." Shuichi agreed.

In a matter of 5 minutes, Tsukasa, Rinto and Shoose drove off in the black van with Gen as the driver.

In that matter of second, the only ones in the house was Yukino, Taiga,  and Sora.

"I’m gonna wash the dishes." Yukino said as she stacked the plates.

"Want some help?" Taiga suggested.

"No, it’s okay." She answered back and walked through the door which led into the kitchen with the plates.

The garden was now quiet with only the two males present.

"So you really are her childhood friend. " Sora spoke.

"Yeah, got a problem with that?" Taiga was still irritated that Rinto took the album without permission.

"Hmm... still having this album means that you still like her, don’t you?"

"Maybe I do... since young, she’s been very kind to me, though she was a little wilder back then."

"Did you know, she had a boyfriend before?" Sora cut in.

"How would you know if she had one or not? You just met her this week."

Sora didn’t answer. Instead, he let out a small bitter smile.

"Who knows..."

He stood up and went his way back to his room, leaving Taiga feeling confused.

"Eh? I thought we could have some desserts together." Yukino claimed to Sora who was walking into the house. She was holding
three slices of ice cream cup cakes in a plate.

"I’ll pass." He patted Yukino on the head lightly before walking into the house.

Yukino saw the bitter smile on his face yet she couldn’t say anything because she didn’t know what happened in her 8 minutes
trip to the kitchen.

"Taiga, did you do something to Sora-san? " Yukino said with a rather angry voice.

"No I didn’t. Hey Yuki, wanna go home? You haven’t seen your mom for 5 days already right?" Taiga suggested.

"I do want to but..."

"Let’s go!" With the word, he stood up and started to pull Yukino inside the house and to the main entrance.

"W-Wait... at least let me put down these deserts first!" Taiga quickly let go in surprised. Thank goodness that the deserts didn’t
fall since they were all in one plate.

Yukino put them down. Then, she informed Sora and Gen. Gen gave a green light for her to go with a warning not to let other fans
recognised Taiga.

Taiga let her change into a more suitable outfit and he did the same too. Both of them went to the garage. Taiga started the
motorbike, the engine roared and echoed throughout the house.

Taiga then get on with a satisfaction smile.

"Let’s go."

Yukino carefully get on the bike so that she doesn’t accidentally fall off. Soon enough, they both began their trip to Yukino’s
house.

Taiga started to speed up, making Yukino jumped. She quickly grabbed hold of Taiga, afraid of falling.

Taiga was surprised at the sudden contact. Luckily, he was able to keep up right and continued their way.

Yukino’s house was in a small district. Even though the place was quiet, the people there were very friendly and kind. The happy
place was also Taiga’s hometown.

Yukino had messaged Akane that she’ll be at her house in an hours or so. Therefore, when Yukino and Taiga arrived at the
house, Akane was already there, waiting for their arrival along with Yukino’s mother.

The surrounding area was just the same as in Taiga’s memories. The big old tree located beside the park still looked as healthy
as ever despite exceeding 70 years.

The meadow looked smaller, this was because he had grown big and tall over the years that he had left the town. Even the
stream looked narrower. Many memories was showing up in Taiga’s mind.

Yukino’s mother invited them in without a second delay. Yukino greeted her mother with a hug. Akane greeted Yukino the same
way. Taiga awkwardly greeted Yukino’s mother since it had been so long since they seen each other.

They all went inside and into the living room. Akane joked around with Taiga.

"Taiga, how on earth did you even became an idol? Truthfully, you were a wimp back then."

"And I can’t believe Yukino is still stuck with you. "

"Hey, that hurts."

The conversation went on for about half an hour before Yukino’s mother served them some snacks to eat.

Yukino went into her room, she decided to bring some few things back with her. She took her tablet, earphones, some sweets and
a few other things. She put them in a bag and brought it downstairs.

If Yukino left the two for another 10 minutes, the fight might get ugly. Taiga and Akane had been bickering with each other up until
just now. Yukino’s mother didn’t mind at all because the house had been rather quiet after Taiga moved away.

The three childhood friends were actually having a great time together despite the few insults they gave to each other.

Yukino went into the kitchen, she helped her mother in preparing for lunch. Taiga and Akane was left in the living room for the
second time. The sudden silence made Akane ask about something.

"Taiga, how does Sora-kun act in front of Yukino? "

"What do you mean? He acts like he usually does towards a girl."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. Why are we talking about him anyway?"

"Oh right, you wouldn’t know anything."

The atmosphere suddenly became serious as Akane told Taiga the story that took place about 3 year ago. Taiga could not
believe his ears.

The story is so surprising yet sad. He didn’t say anything after that. The truth had left a huge scar in his heart without himself
knowing.

Lunch passed by as they finished eating their food. Taiga didn’t alter a word except for some comments on how delicious the food
were. Yukino looked at the time. It was just before time they should left and gone back to the house.

After packing another few things into her bag, she and Taiga bid their goodbye. Then, they rode off. Taiga suddenly made a turn
which road didn’t lead to the house.

He slowed down and finally his bike came to a halt. It was afternoon so there was no doubt that it’s hot at the moment. Yukino
didn’t moved or asked. The place was a field, the same one that was the background of some of her childhood photos.

A park that was still in perfect condition and some children playing. Taiga looked at the children playing tag not thinking about
anything else beside the game. They looked really happy, just like when he was a decade ago.

Taiga and Yukino watched the kids running and chasing while still on the bike. Taiga rested his head on the meter reader. He
looked really cute as he did so but Yukino was looking at the more amazing sight.

The wings on the kids’ back were small and cute, only the colour of pure white and a tint of yellow was visible. Yukino was seeing
angels running around the park. She looked back at the person in front of him.

She didn’t know why Taiga suddenly stopped here. Thinking carefully, it must be because the place was filled with many
memories. Memories of him, Yukino and Akane. Memories of which Yukino had forgotten after the accident.

"Taiga, why are you sad?" Yukino blurted out her question.

"Because you don’t remember me. "

Yukino couldn’t say anything else. She just stared at the light blue slumped looking wings in front of her. She had noticed the
sudden changed of colour ever since the time they had their lunch.

"I guess we should really go now. Y-Yuki!?"

Taiga sat up straight again so he could start his motorbike. He was surprised when Yukino suddenly hugged him from behind.

She wanted to comfort her forgotten childhood friend, yet she can’t find any words and hugged him without thinking.

If the semi transparent wings were real, it might be the source of the warm heat she is feeling. Instead, the heat was from Taiga’s
body temperature rising up due from embarrassment.

Furthermore, Yukino was his first crush. Akane had also known this fact long ago. Only the person herself was clueless. She
didn’t know, there was no way for her to know. She didn’t take notice of the pale pink coloured wings that indicated for her.

"I’m sorry that I’ve forgotten. "

Yukino said as she released herself from the backhug. She’s sorry for the memories she lost. Taiga knew that very well.

"It’s okay. I feel sorry for him more."

"Who do you mean?"

"N-No, it’s nothing. Yuki, let’s make new memories instead, as friends, just like we used to, okay? "

Yukino hummed along, though she was curious about Taiga’s sentence. A moment later, Taiga restarted his bike and they were
on their way to the house of the idol group.

After an hour of riding, they finally arrived back to the house where only Sora was present. Taiga keyed in the password, the door
automatically opened and Taiga went in first.

"Yuki, want to try playing the piano?"

"Can I? "

"Sure, we told you to make yourself at home, didn’t we?"

"You think I can!? What if I break something? "

Taiga laughed at the panicking girl. The amusement of his childhood friend saying such things with the expression showed on his
face. Yukino noticed it and started to scold the boy.

Taiga then walked to the piano and sat on the stool. He carefully opened the lit and pressed a few keys. A melody danced in the
air. Wanting to get in the mood, he then pressed a few more keys.

This time, a happy melody was heard. The familiar notes of a children song was being played by him. Yukino couldn’t helped
herself from claping along. They were creating new memories without knowing.

Sora was in his room. He heard the song being played and thought that it was quite childish. He knew that Taiga can play better
to impress the girl but somehow or the other, Taiga chose not to.

Back in the living room, Taiga stopped playing after the song. He told Yukino to play but she insisted not to as she didn’t know
how to play the piano. She was only interested in the sound though she did knew a few songs as she played them in an
application in her phone.

The few songs she played in the app was just a short period hobby. It’s had been a while since she used the app. She might had
already uninstall it. She might have played on a real piano but she could remember nothing of the sort.

Taiga didn’t care. He made Yukino sit in the stool, Taiga started to explain a few things about the piano. Unexpectedly, Yukino
sucked the information in very well. Even Taiga himself was amazed.

Taking another stool, Taiga sat beside Yukino and started to teach her a song. Their fingers brushed with each other’s, Taiga was
the only one conscious of the touch.

"Ah...I think I just remembered a song. "

"E-Eh? Really? Then try playing it."

Yukino didn’t noticed the stuttering in Taiga ’s voice, which was a good thing for him.

Yukino slowly remembered as she pressed a few more keys. She then pressed hit the keys one after another, retrying to get the
notes right. In a full three minutes, she remembered most of the first half of the song.

She decided to play it from the very beginning again. She started hitting the black and white keys after a moment of silence. Taiga
was carefully listening and impressed at her skill despite being a total beginner.

The slow melody was soothing to the ear. Taiga closed his eyes as he listened, feeling that he heard this melody once before.

Yukino finished the song with a few wrong notes but no one was complaining.

"Where did you learned that?"

"Actually, I don’t know." Yukino slowly said as she tried hard to remember.

Only the person in his own room at this moment knew the truth.

The night was just the three. The others were sleeping at Tsukasa’s. One was because the house was really far, the other was
that Tsukasa’s sister had also made Gen do some work and they were now too tired to drive.

It was dangerous for a tired man to drive and they knew that really well. Therefore, there was only Yukino, Sora and Taiga left in
the house. Taiga had also fell into a slumber. As a result, two was left still awake.

Both of them were in their room, not knowing what the other is doing nor thought of the other was actually awake or not at the
moment. Yukino rested in her bed. She was thinking about what Akane said before she and Taiga left her house.

’I hope Sora would fully take this chance.’

The sentence echoed through her head even though it was not for her. She wondered why Akane said it but she hadn’t got the
answer. Yukino wanted to ask Sora but she was afraid of being scolded for doing such useless thing.

The room in front of hers was quiet. She had already given up the idea and sat in her bed. She looked at the wall clock. The hour
hand was a little before 11 at the moment.

The quiet atmosphere made Yukino frustrated and she lied back down hugging the soft pillow. She decided to just fall asleep.

The thought vanished away when she suddenly heard a familiar rhythm. The noise was undoubtedly from a guitar. Yukino
recognized the song as it passed through her ears. It was the melody she played on the piano that afternoon.

She listened carefully. There wasn’t any mistakes or missing notes. The song was complete after a full 3 minutes. Yukino could
only guessed that it was the work of Sora. But how? She thought.

The song was unknown, even a professional musician such as Taiga didn’t know the name of the melody. That afternoon, Yukino
only remembered a quarter of it but the one she was hearing now was a full version.

After a while of deep thinking, she slowly fell asleep as the song was played for the second time.

Sadly, the story will end in a couple of chapters.
