"Finally, the last year of my high school! Let's start it off!" Nicole said and left for school.

Nicole is 18 this year, and this is her final year in high school.

 

In this new year, she promised herself to confess to the one she admired for 2 years, since her freshman year in high school, the boy of her dreams, Alson. He wasn't the most famous in the school, but he caught her attention the most. He was friendly, kind, smart, good looking, and cheerful. 

 

During the morning assembly, she was anticipating to see him after such a long break. While she was busy looking for him, she bumped into someone

"I'm so sorry!" she quickly apologised without lifting her head up not knowing who she bumped into

"It's okay, it was partially my fault too" he said

She immediately knew who he was. Alson.

Without hesitation, she looked up and both their eyes locked. It was as if there were only both of them in this world. 

"...you" she said

"Yes?"

"I like you" she murmured

"I'm sorry but I really can't hear you"

"I like you!" she said

After she realised the situation, she looked at him in shock

'What was I thinking?!' she thought but all her thoughts were written on her face

Alson looked both amazed and shocked at the same time

Amazed that she was really daring and shocked because he has feelings for this girl too

"I'm sorry I bothered you" she said and quickly left

"Wai-"

Before he could even call out for her, the morning assembly started

 

After confessing, Nicole definitely did not have the courage and strength to attend the assembly anymore. 

'What was I thinking? The first day of school? OMG. You're really stupid! Arghhhh! How am I suppose to face him from today onwards? Thank God he's not in my class' she thought

 

The morning assembly today was long. But it was just enough time for her heart to calm itself down. Before entering her classroom, she went to the washroom. 

"Nicole!"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Both of them hugged each other in the washroom

"Vivian! OMG! It's been such a long time!"Nicole was really excited to see her bestie

"I missed you so much! Do you know how much I'd suffer over in Korea?" Vivian cried

Vivian was scouted by a Korean entertainment company a year ago and she started her 'trainee programme' a while ago. Vivian and Nicole were best friends since primary school. Vivian's ambition was to be a singer and Nicole, was to be an actress.

"Just get through it! I know you can do it! You've been wanting all these since young! Remember?"

"I know, but I just wanted to rant about it to you!" Vivian pouted

"Let's talk more in class alright? Why whenever we meet each other, it always has to be somewhere so weird?" Nicole jokingly asked

"I just realised too! The first time we met was near the garbage dump" Vivian laughed

Both of the best friends then headed to their classroom.

 

When Vivian opened the door, she saw Alson.

Looking at Nicole, she knew that she saw him too. But why does she looks so indescribably shocked? and worried?

"I just confessed to him earlier" Nicole whispered 

Looking shocked, she just stared at her for a whole minute. But in the end Vivian smirked and gave Nicole a nudge. "How was it huh? What was his reaction?" Vivian gave her a nudge on her arms again. "I ran swiftly"

"Oh god, so stupid" Vivian rolled her eyes

"Look, he's looking over this way"

Once Nicole looked at his direction, she noticed that he was looking at her. He must have recognised her! Gosh! So embarrassing! She squirmed and quickly ran to her seat and covered her head with her bag. Vivian took a seat next to her and looked at Alson. She greeted him with a nod. Looking shocked, Alson gave her a nod too.

 

"Nicole, class is starting, don't you worry about it FIRST" she smirked

"Sometimes I really wonder, how on earth did we get so close?" Nicole asked exhaustingly

"You know I just love you so much, more than I love myself" Vivian then gave Nicole a flying kiss and blew it to her direction. Nicole rolled her eyes and gave her a disgusted look. "Please leave it for you man alright? I'm not interested at all" she said. Vivian then pouted, " I knew it, you only wants his kisses right? You are so bad, after hurting my little, pure heart, you are still hoping for Al~" Nicole glared at her, her eyes were looking at her as if she was telling Vivian to not say anything dangerous or foolish. 

 

"Class, good morning~"

Earlier this morning, there was this girl whom I bumped into confessed to me. I clearly know who she was. She is Nicole, the girl whom I'd a crush on since freshman year. She is always so bubbly, cheerful, easy going and shining. Yes, she was shining so brightly in my eyes. I was so shocked listening to her confession till I wasn't able to give her an answer. 

 

During assembly, I was looking around for her but to no avail. I was hoping to reply her confession but it just seemed so sudden. When your crush confesses that she likes you too, what would you expect? I wanted to talk to her so badly. I wanted to. In these 2 years, both of us weren't in the same class, I bet we won't be in the same class this year too. 

 

Looking a little depressed, Alson headed to their classroom with his bunch of friends. While I was chatting with my bestie while waiting for the teacher, "Hey, your girl" Calvin told me. I looked at the door entrance and I saw her, with her friend. At that moment, I was excited. Happier than ever. Feeling luckier than ever. Thank God for putting me in the same class with Nicole. I am truly thankful. 

 

She saw me looking at her. But she quickly hid her face and ran to take a seat. Was I really that scary to her? I laughed. I really need to talk to her privately. When I was about to approach her, the class teacher came in. Well, I guess there's still time?
