Who's my Prince Charming [One] - romance comedy - main story image

A A A A

It all started on that day. That one fine day, when the obnoxious princess decided to start out on her little exploring trip downtown.

"Are you sure you want to go alone?" one of the maids asked quietly as the princess glared at her.

She checked herself in the mirror for the umpteen time, brushing a strand of hair behind her ears, touching up on her blusher, then her lipstick.

"Yes. I'll be fine." she said uninterestedly.

The maids exchanged looks and shrugged their shoulders as they watched the princess step out of the door.

"I bet she'll cause some troubles outside." one of the maid scoffed.

Murmurs arose between the maids as they gossip about the spoiled princess.

~~~~~~~
"Oh my god! What kind of- Oh my!" the princess shrieked as she walked on the streets and stepped in the puddles of water. Just her luck, it just rained and she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Passersby stared at her, with distaste. Wondering what was wrong with her. Shrieking and complaining as she walked down the simple street they walked on for maybe half of their lives.
"I should have brought the maids along. Oh my holy, my heels are dirty!" she complained as she looked down and saw her white heels stained with dirt.
She was frustrated with the state of her heels and had the need, to get a new pair of heels.
Glancing around, she saw the shoe shop located just a street away from where she was. She thanked the lord for having a shoe shop on that street she disliked with passion.
Quickly moving towards the shop, her day was ruined even further- that's what she thought - as a guy knocked in to her.
Her head snapped upwards and she scowled. He was dressed in a suit that seems to be as expensive as the dress she was wearing, but she wondered, where was his manners. But it was not like she had any to mention of.
"Excuse me, miss. It was you, who stepped in to my way," the guy emphasized on the word 'my' and then paused as he took in the look of the young lady standing in front of him, and then he continued, "so I should be the one to wonder, where's your manners, instead of mine."
She stared at him. Speechless. Did he just questioned her, the princess, of her manners?
"Don't look at me this way." the guy stated. She rolled her eyes, was he intending to hear a sorry from her?
"I do hope you'll apologize, as you, have ruined, my shoes." he pointed at his white leather shoe.
"I don't apologize to anybody else, except my parents." she stated, head held high enough to show that she was not going to give in.
He chuckled, then he crossed his arms in front of his chest, and then stared down at her as he was at least, a head taller than her.
"Sad to say, neither do I." he smirked.
She growled, eyes never leaving the guy in front of her, he was attractive.
Dressed in the expensive suit, hair combed neatly to the side, his cheekbones were fairly high and his lips are definitely very attractive - especially when he smirks - and his voice, was nothing similar to the guards at the castle.
His was rough and low, but not a little of hoarseness in them.
"Oh there you are!" another voice interrupted.
She looked behind the male and found that the source of the interruption, was devastatingly another male, which she thought was probably one of the same kind as the one she is currently dealing with.
But after a second glance, the guy approaching them was different. At least he didn't give off the air of arrogance like the one she met, and he was dressed more... casually. But she knew, that his clothes weren't cheap at all.
"I was looking for you, Ryder." the guy said as he stepped in to her view.
So his name was Ryder. Sounds suave and cool. But he don't fit the bill.
"Your new friend?" the guy asked.
Listening to the new guy's voice was kind of like a new experience. She had found Ryder's voice mesmerizing as a matter of fact, but the new guy, his voice was like a pit and whenever he talks, she felt as if the world had stopped just to allow him to talk.
She scoffed, "I don't need a friend like that."
The guy raised his brow at her, then chuckled. Oh wow, she thought. They even had the same kind of chuckle.
"I'm Blaise Brent. This is my older brother, Ryder Brent." Blaise introduced.
Blaise. Ryder. Blaise obviously seems to be the better boy in the family. Or maybe, in the princess's eyes.
"I have my manners." she started, "Nico Hunter." she ended with a smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Hunter." Ryder snickered, earning more glares from Nico.
The ringing of cell phones, yes, cell phones exist, made them cough and pulled out their phones.
After exchanging a few words, Ryder left with Blaise as Nico went back to her castle. She had failed to get another pair of heels, because of Ryder Brent.
"The prince that is coming better be higher class than Brent." she muttered as she kicked the piece of dried leaf off the front of her heels.
~~~~~~~

The dinner was as usual, had guest and Nico had to smile and entertain them like every usual Friday evening.

"How many prince will there be today?" she asked tiredly as she plopped down on the couch, massaging her leg.

"Four, princess." the maid who was serving her tea answered.

Nico sighed and sipped her tea. She was satisfied with the mild rose scent and she felt her body relaxing after the cup of tea.

After an hour or so, it was announced that the princes have reached and the dinner was about to start. Nico stepped in to her lavender gown, with the shoulders bare from any cloth, showing off her perfect complexion and her collarbone. Then she slipped in to the silver heels that was prepared at the door of her room and then started towards the dining hall.

As she moved nearer and nearer, she heard the music she dreaded the most. It was the same old piece of melody, used to be calming but now just irritable.

The guards at the door bowed and then pushed open the huge door. Several heads turn at the arrival of the princess.

Including Ryder and Blaise, as they sat right in the middle, where Nico was supposed to be seated at.

Nico's eyes widened in surprise and shock, and then she got it. Ryder had said that he will only apologize to his parents. Now it clicked. Of course, they are the only ones who had a status higher than him.

"Nice to meet you again, Princess Nico Hunter." Ryder smirked as he stood up and offered his hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too, Prince Ryder Brent." Nico squeezed his hand tightly, hoping her long nails would pierce a hole through the hand she was holding on to.

"And you too, Prince Blaise Brent." Nico finally got enough of Ryder's hand and turned to Blaise, who simply gave a smile.

"My pleasure." Blaise laughed.

Laugh, Nico thought. Fate was definitely playing with her.

Okay.. So here's the first chapter. Hope it was up to expectations >.<
