A Good Morning - nature - chapter image

A A A A

I lay on the cold wet grass. I breath in that certain smell of rain.

I am engulfed with coldness, as I stare blankly at the grey dark sky full with clouds while a drizzle of rain of rain pours down on me.

The cold wind blows at me, the cold lightly burning my skin.

With a wandering mind, I sit up, bury my face in my arms and just sit there, alone.

I don't feel the cold touch of the rain anymore and that gust of wind that was blowing is gone.

The dark clouds start fading away and the sunlight dispersing the cold mist.

I hear a shuffling noise to my right and there she was, that familiar face staring at me. She smiles lightly, kneeling down next to me.

I look around and notice that cold atmosphere is gone and now, the blue sky was shown, the sun shining brightly at me, as if it was saying 'Hello' as it warms my body.

The cold silence and the dripping of rain is gone, and is now replaced with the singing of the birds, flying happily in the air, and the warm air from the sun.

I stared at the girl, none of us talking. ''Bye.'' she whispered in a very tiny voice but it was still audible.

She got up, walked away, and the indents of her foot prints into the mud, away from me.

She stopped in her tracks, turned to me and said, ''It was a good morning'', and proceeded to walk away.

She was right, it was indeed.. a very good morning.
