“Daddy?” she whimpered. “What are you guys talking about? Is he saying that…that you did this, daddy?”

“So your mother didn’t tell you?” Josaphyna shook her head. “Oh yes, where is that woman anyway?”

“She died, daddy.” He stared at her shocked. “She rammed into a telephone pole because someone ran in front of the car.”

“The poor woman.” He said with a slight pout that was easily replaced with a smile. “She never saw it coming.”

“Daddy, did you do this?” a nod of his head made his daughter gawk. “You really did this?” she turned to Luko and he only nodded. “Daddy how and why would you do this?”

“It’s quite simple really,” he started as he turned around with a stoic face. “Well, not really simple seeing how many tests it took. But, nevertheless, I finally succeeded in it. I have finally created an army that the world would be terrified of. I used many different deadly chemicals with just as dangerous diseases before finally creating this one. If you see here, Luko was my first subject. He’s lucky to have survived this long. He is fully covered from head to toe with blotches and scabs and cuts but has not yet died! I think I created a potion for eternal life!”

“Daddy, you’ve gone mad!” Josaphyna yells. “You killed them! You killed Dominic! You killed Hannah! And most of all, you killed Momma!”

“I thought she ran into a pole, no?” her dad said.

“She hit the pole on purpose to kill herself.” Josaphyna sobbed. “She was also infected and didn’t want to hurt me because she didn’t know if the infection had side-effects. She killed herself because she caught whatever the hell kind of disease you made!”

“Josaphyna! That will be enough out of you.” Luko stared at said girl and watched as the doctor stalked toward her. “I didn’t want to do this to you, but I’ve been practicing something else. I’ve been immersed in the art of human doll making, and you’ll be my first subject. You’ll be the most beautiful doll, Josa. A beautiful doll indeed.”

The doctor stretched out his arm and was about to drag Josaphyna into the hallway but Luko punched him in the face. He took the syringe from the table and stabbed it into the doctor’s throat. The doctor spluttered and gurgled before passing into another life.

“Oh my-“ Josaphyna sat on the floor and stared at everything around her. “Why is this happening? I have no more parents or a best friend. Everything right now is so fucked up its not even funny. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, funny about this situation at all.”

“If everything returns to the way it was before,” Luko says. “Not everything will be normal again. You may not have parents anymore, your best friend may not be there anymore, but at least you’re living right? And you can always tell other people younger than you, such as children, that you were part of the time when the world collapsed.”

this is a supposedly nice story but would be better if you elaborate more.
