The night was dark. There was no star, no moon.
The wind howled as it tugged at the leaves of the trees around.
The leaves rustled and a few brown ones fell, floating to the cement ground.
Silence...
The girl stared at the scenery outside her room and blanked out.
Dressed in a big t-shirt that smelt faintly like him and a pair of shorts, she sat on the platform beside the windows.
The room was dark and there was no movement, not even from the girl except the rise and fall of her chest as she breathed lightly.
"Why don't he ever pick up my calls anymore?" She whispered.
A tear slipped out of her eye.
Her legs folded up to meet her body and her arms wrapped themselves around her thighs.
Beside her, the phone was making faint sounds.
The dial tone rang softly before the call got through...well, to the voicemail box...again.
"Hi, please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as possible. Beep." The familiar voice started and yet, all the girl did was stare.
She heard this sentence far too much to have any reaction anymore.
"I hate you." She mused, her eyes staring into blank space.
Still the same.
The voicemail recording ended and the phone turned silent again.
Outside the room, droplets of rain fell slowly to the ground.
Her heart dampened.
It was still the same, after all.
