Spend the night

 

 

 

After dinner, Ciel and Anna sat down to talk business and successfully agreed to support eachother financially and share stocks. Two hours after dinner, the mansion quite down as everyone had settled down for the night. Anna had summoned Sophie to stay as close to her as possible.

“You may rest, but never let your guard down” Anna reminded her servant. Anna took a quick glance at sleeping Lucy and went back to her paper works. An hour later, Sophie had woken up by mumblings from Anna. She was in deep thoughts and were thinking loudly.

“Milady, it's pass 2am. It is not good for your body to stay up late”Sophie said in concern. Anna stopped her mumbling and shot her a glare. Sophie was shocked by her mistress' behavior, her eyes were in bright red and her fangs were visible as her mouth curves up into an eerie smile. Then a second later Anna jolted back to her normal self. Sophie stared at her mistress trembling in fear.

“I'm tired” Anna said as if nothing happened and went to lay down next to Lucy. Anna took a glance at Sophie who were still trembling in fear.

“It's getting worse. I can't even control it anymore” Anna thought.

Before Anna could close her eyes, she heard footsteps in the distance.

“Sophie, stay here and look after Luci” she command, Sophie nodded hesitantly. Anna slowly peeks out the door and smiled to herself. Despite the pitch dark hallway, she could smell and see perfectly thanks to her demon part. She followed the scent and saw a light in the distance getting closer and closer. The sillouhette of a man became clearer, it was Sebastian. Anna stopped in her track and crossed her arms with a smile.

“Oya, If it isn't Ojou-sama Annastaise” Anna let out a snicker.

“Annastaise?” Anna had a flash of memory lane.

“Well then, may I ask what were you doing out here at a such hour?” Sebastian asked with his guard up.

“I sensed something out here...didn't expect to see a black butler at this hour either” Sebastian chuckled at her comment.

“you're just like her” Anna looked at him in surprise.

“Stop joking around” Anna ordered him.

“Oya, is that an order? I'm sorry milady, I only listen to the orders of my master” Sebastian reminded her, Anna clenched her hand to calm herself.

“Oh really? From what I know...you're a quite treacherous butler”Anna taunted, Sebastian's smiled vanished. His expression was unreadable, he just stared at Anna as if he can see her half human soul.

“Well, you should return to your room now or you'll be late home tomorrow” He told her with the unchanging look as he turn around to leave.

Sebastian felt anxious, for the first time in his years as a demon, he felt anxiety. He heard Anna breathing deeply, feeling worried he spun around to look at Anna but she was nowhere to be found. Sebastian reminded himself that even though she is the Bocchan's important guest, she most likely suspicious. A sudden pain took over his hand, he kneeled down clutching his hand. He took off his glove to find the markings became much more visible and darker. Then a sudden vision played in his head, Bocchan's room. It's as if he's seeing it from another's person's eye. The he saw a dagger in a women's hand. Then he realized something. He got back up to his feet and rushed to his Bocchan's bedroom, barging inside. Sebastian searched around the room, finding no one but his Bocchan.

“Sebastian? What are you doing in here?” Sebastian kept his composure and turn around to face his master.

“I apologize for waking you, Bocchan. I was just...checking” Ciel look at his butler with sleepy eyes and look around his room.

“You're a bother...i'm going back to sleep”

“Of course, my apologies Bocchan” Sebastian bowed his head and left the room.

“Lucien!” Sebastian spun around in surprised, he surely heard his former master yell his former name. Even for a demon like him, he was afraid.

“Ojou-sama?” Sebastian answered waving the candle. Then he saw a white figure approaching him, he knows that figure and the slender porcelain hands hanging both side.

“Ojou-sama?” he called out again. The suddenly a black cat jumped at him from the darkness. Sebastian held the cat close to his face as he fell in love with it's beauty. Without realizing, it was the cat he had been seeing.

“where did you come from?” Sebastian asked the cat, only expecting a meow.

“i better hide you before young master find you”
