Friendship starts

Merebith's POV:

All of this won't happen if I just tell him how I feel. My chances are all gone.

We are in the gym for the welcome speech of our principal.

I'm now a high school student, a freshmen.

*sigh* I could see him where I am sitting right now. He was with his friends chatting.

I already miss him.

It's because of one reason why I avoid him in the past.

I want to cry and run away already.

I don't know how to face him. I don't have a guts to talk to him.

 

3 years ago.....

 

That guy, really getting in my nerve already. He just called me names. I hate him. I don't like to see him ever.

I was in 3rd grade when we met each other.

I really wanted to sit with my best friend, Kathryn, but because it's girl-boy-girl arrangement our teacher placed a boy between us.

I didn't complain. It's more better, my best friend is not too far from me. As everyone knows, I'm a loner. I only have a close friend and that is Kathryn.

When I glanced at the boy, he's also quiet. I think this is better. I don't like to be with someone who bullied me. I remember last time when we are still in lower grade, my classmates make fun of me because I don't talk and also shy.

Because I'm not used to talk to anyone and friendly, I didn't have plan to ask this boy besides me his name. Luckily, the teacher asked us to introduce ourselves. And that way, I know his name.

He's Christian Matthew Montero.

A nice long name.

It's my turn to introduced myself. "I am Ma. Merebith Palmeiro" I said in a low voice and sat back down.

After that day, things had happen.

He started to talk to me and because I'm a shy girl. I always answer him with short words.

But time passed by when our unknown relationship changes. We became an enemy.

He's the very first boy that I really hate and my first enemy. But he's also the first guy who I can laugh with.

He become like my immortal enemy slash a friend.

Everyday, we have many reasons to fight and argue. And because of it, it's my first time to get scolded by our teacher. I felt bad at first, but didn't show it.

He is also a friend. He can tell jokes. Other says it's a lame joke, but for me it's not.

We kinda become close to each other. Because of friendly talk and also fighting.

We're together in our team for cleaners. And that gave us chance to fight more. He is the leader and I'm his assistant. We always fight when it's our time to clean. When we clean, complain, argue, and laugh, it's all fun.

We sometimes went out of our school together and I don't know why I become to him.

We are like cat and dog when we're fighting, but of course we can be friends.

One time, I got bullied and because I'm a weak girl, I cried. He's the one who comfort me.

I think, he know his limit when he started to annoy me.

1 year has passed and we are now 4th grade.

And that year, our classmates started to tease us. They teased us about our relationship.

But our enemy slash friendship relationship never change.

As like last year, we are seatmate. He started to annoy me and I started to shout at him back.

I sometimes don't like to see him, but he's also my friend.

We are together in break and also in dismissal.

Some of our classmates noticed our closeness and that lead them to tease us. They thought we are lover, but it's all misunderstanding.
