The Meet And Greet

It has been years since they've met. Since they became friends. Since John fell in live with Dave.

 

 

 

And yet, they're still just friends.

 

Almost every night, John has cried him self to sleep. Hoping that when he does cry, Dave will be there to wipe away his tears.

 

But he never shows up, and that makes John cry even harder. Still no Dave in sight when he does.

 

FLASHBACK

 

"But dddaaaaadddd~! I don't want to meet people. They kind of suck. Can't i just go home now before anyone notices I'm here?" Cried out a six year old John, on the first day of school.

 

But his dad didn't say anything back, he just glanced at him. And in that glance, John knew he wouldn't win.

 

So he hugged his dad before he left.

 

There wasn't very many kids there yet, school haden't even begun yet. John still doesn't know why his dad left him there that early.

 

Probably just to get rid of him faster. 

 

While thinking this, John was hiding in the corner behind a bean-bag chair. Hoping no one would see him.

 

All of the sudden, he felt a hand on his shoulder that pulled him up and to the other side of the room faster then he could blink really.

 

After they stopped, John looked at who was pulling him and noticed it was a girl.

 

What's funny to him was that she looked like she could be his sister!

 

They both had large, buck teeth. A head full of napy dark brown hair. And large, circular shaped glasses.

 

He was shocked when he thought this.

 

"Hi there! My name's Jade, you looked kind of lonely back there all by your self. So I thought you would like to make friends! I'm sorry if i scared you..." Jade said with a different tone in her voice with every word.

 

He could tell that if he was her friend, there would never be a boring day. 

 

"Hey, Jade! Who's the next kid you're intruding in on this time?" said a  voice from behind John.

 

He quickly turned around to see a boy with blonde hair and sunglasses on.

 

"His name is- *she gasps* -oh no! I forgot to ask what your name was! How rude of me." She said, yet again with a different tone of speach.

 

"My name's John." He said softly, and a bit shy-like.

 

But she still heard him, then shook his hand very fast and then looked over at the blonde boy.

 

"Does that answer that question, Dave?" she said with a giggle after.

 

Dave.

 

That name was running through John's mind as he thought about how cool it would be to have that name.

 

"I guess, welp see ya around John." Dave said, walking over to a group of girls who seemed to be fangirling over how cute he was.

 

FLASHBACK ENDS

 

John smiles lightly as he remembers how he met the guy he was head over heels for.

 

He's still friends with Jade, too. 

 

Two years after he met them, a new girl showed up named Rose.

 

He's friends with her as well.

 

John loved the fact that he had great friends.

 

He suddenly snapped out of his thoughts when he got a message from someone.

 

Hey John!

John?

Are you there?

 

Yeah I'm here

Sorry for not responding sooner

I was just thinking again i guess

 

It's okay!

Really, I don't mind

I love to think!

My mind travels off to so many places when I think!

It's fantastic

Jade, you are always happy 

aren't you?

 

Well, not all the time

But in the end

Yes 

I am happy

Wait!

Are you not happy right now?!

Is something wrong, John?

 

No

Nothing's wrong

I'm fine, really

well anyways

He lied. He was upset. But there was noway he was going to tell someone about his love for Dave.

 

Never.
