Chapter 2--

{{"It was about 5 weeks into the start of school for me, I was so nervous. I had just moved to the town too, so I was the new girl. I had my lunch in a brown paper bag, hair in pigtails," I laughed at the thought, "gosh, I was so small."}}

"Hey, you, what's your name?" a new voice spoke behind. I jumped a little, I was always alone and someone was finally talking to me. I turned around to see 3 other girls standing behind me. All three of them smiled at me, am I dreaming?

The girl that spoke before stuck her hand out, "I'm Kaylee," I shook her hand, "That's Hanna and Rena." I said nothing to them, still wondering if I was taking a nap or something.

"Do you have a name? We want to be friends." Kaylee walked towards me. I backed up. "I don't have cooties!" she laughed.

I hesitated, "Uhhh, my name is Essie." the girls smiled at me.

"Essie!!" They all exclaimed, "Come play with us in the courtyard, we're gonna have lunch there too."

 Everyone was running, laughing and screaming around everywhere. Then a boy stops in front of me, and turns bright red.

"Matthew come on!!" some other kid yelled out and then he continued running. Matthew? I think I have classes with him.

"Essie c'mon, we're gonna eat lunch here!"

{{"Well, the way I met Kaylee, Rena and Hanna has no significance but you ought to know where I got my friends and well, failed companion." I told my listener.}}

Later that day I ran home, excited to tell my mom and dad what happened at school today. I've never been excited for school this much before.

"Essie, how was your day?" my dad asked me. I jumped onto the sofa besides him and smiled a big smile.

"I made friends today!" I exclaimed.

**Author's Notes: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry this chapter isn't much. I actually had a really hard time writing this chapter. I kept running out of ideas and the elements of this story is also hard to write. Hopefully the future chapters will be 100 times better than this one! Once again, I'm sorry!
