The Mysterious Garden

A A A A

Under the starry midnight sky,

I walked aimlessly into a garden my eyes have never beheld.

T’was something I have never seen before, in all my living days,

So beautiful, so splendid, so seemingly like paradise.

With a million fireflies dancing, the place seemed at its brightest.

Exploring the new scenery I have found, I ended up losing my way back.

Will I not be able to go back home?

I began to worry for what my fate would be inside this impossible labyrinth.

All worries seemed to vanish when I saw a figure clad in midnight.

With hair as dark as the sky itself,

And with skin as white as snow,

I was captivated and imprisoned in a spell.

Time seemed to stop as she turned around to face me.

Everything went still, the nightingale began to sing.

With mystifying ruby eyes that looked right through me,

I was entranced as she started to approach me.

Hypnotized by her mere presence, I failed to notice the distance between us.

Her snow white hand was placed on my chest, feeling the rapid beating of my heart.

Her smile was melting me inside; her glances, stealing my very soul.

Together with the nightingale’s song, she sang with an angel’s voice.

Listening to her sweet, angelic voice, my eyes started to grow heavy.

With her hand, she led to a golden gazebo.

My head lying on her lap, her delicate fingers softly stroking my locks,

She was making me fall for her…

I reached out to stroke her porcelain cheek; she smiled and looked at me.

Bending down, her hair gently cascading down her bare shoulders,

A kiss ever so lightly was planted on my lips…

A soft “Goodnight” was whispered to my ear before I drifted into the silent darkness…

I woke up to find the angel gone, the garden was quiet…

I was alone, in this mysterious place, still lost and unable to return home.

Has it all been a pleasant dream? An illusion?

I touched my lips, the kiss felt so real.

I started to find my way out, when I noticed a trail of feathers on the ground.

It led me home, I was grateful…

Could the angel from last night have done it?

I was glad to be home, to be free from that labyrinth.

I don’t know why I came back here,

Do I want to get lost again?

I wasn’t certain myself, but one thing I was sure of,

I want to see the girl who has captured my heart…

I want to know if she was real or just a mere illusion…

As I walked down the path heading towards the gazebo,

I heard a sweet singing voice echo through the night.

I was certain it was her…

I ran towards my destination and saw her singing under the pale moonlight.

With outstretched arms, she welcomed me into an embrace…

My heart stopped beating as I returned the warm feeling.

Raising her face to make her eyes meet mine,

I kissed her ever so passionately, my emotions surging through her.

The nightingale’s song was heard once again,

As I listen to the voice of my newfound love, my angel…

Hoping this night will never end…

Hoping that we won’t have to part again…

I guess I will be spending a lot of time in this mysterious garden…
