A A A A

Mitsunari stood on top of the mountain peak looking out towards the Eastern side of the nation that used to be one. He could feel it, the burning passion in his chest to destroy Ieyasu once and for all for killing Hideyoshi Toyotomi, his mentor, his role model. His partner, Yoshitsugu sat there beside him floating, carrying on about something he had no interest in what so ever.

"I say Mitsunari," Yoshitsugu spoke. "You seem to be in a foul yet sastifying mood today."

"Is that odd for you?" Mitsunari asked annoyed. "It's not like you haven't seen anything else weird from me. Tomorrow is the day that Ieyasu's neck will be wrapped in my hands after I defeat him in battle to end his useless life."

Yoshitsugu smiled through the wraps he was in and watched as his friend headed off down the mountain. He began to follow until he saw Yukimura, their new ally sitting all alone on the ground pondering about something. He went over to him, catching the young leader off guard.

"My deepest apologies for startling you Yukimura," Yoshitsugu spoke. "But I am curious on what you are doing up here by yourself. I thought Sasuke was with you?"

"He is doing something right now," Yukimura stood up. "I just needed some fresh air before I went to sleep before we face Ieyasu tomorrow. I cannot wait to aid Mitsunari in killing him. It is my Lord's wish that Ieyasu gets destroyed, and I shall prevail that for him!"

"Such determination for such a young soul you are." Yoshitsugu spoke. "Well, I must attend to Mitsunari to make sure he doesn't do anything reckless before tomorrow's battle. Rest up well, for tomorrow is the day to rid Ieyasu's wretched soul from this soil."

Mitsunari walked into his tent and sat down, feeling sleep slowly overcoming him. He washed up real quick with the water bucket next to him and put some light cloths on him and went to sleep. Yoshitsugu stayed outside of his friend's tent and looked up to see Sasuke coming back in camp carrying some food and water.

Yukimura came down the hill and helped Sasuke with the materials they had and went into his own tent and went to sleep. Sasuke layed down on the ground and stretched his legs, feeling his muscles pop and he sighed in relief. He looked back to see Yoshitsugu actually falling asleep for once and he looked to the side to see Yukimura moving around in his sleep.

He moved into Yukimura's tent and layed down next to his companion and tapped his shoulder. The younger opened his eyes to see Sasuke smiling lightly at him and he sighed in relief.

"I almost hit you." Yukimura said. "Get some sleep Sasuke, tomorrow is a long day."

Mitsunari awaited for Yukimura and Sasuke to meet him outside of camp and looked up at the sky. There was a storm brewing ahead and he could smell the rain coming. He saw Yukimura and Sasuke catch up, apologizing for their actions and he shook his head.

"No need to apologize, I heard you mourning over your Lord Shingen again. I know the feeling of loss and its never too late or never to early to mourn for a loss one."

"Such modest words coming out of your lips Mitsunari." Yoshitsugu spoke. "Now, shall we go and destroy Ieyasu?"

"We shall."

~~~~~
Ieyasu stood tall and proud on top of a cliff, seeing Mitsunari's and Yukimura's army heading towards his camp. He smirked and looked back to see Tadakatsu standing there silent as always. Tadakatsu is always silent, he has yet to figure out why. He flexed his muscles and began to walk down the cliff he was on down to his army.
"Listen up my men!" Ieyasu shouted. "Our foe heading towards here is no joke. He is the Dark King, Ishida Mitsunari and he has Lord Shingen's young Tiger, Sanada Yukimura with him. Along with their companions Sasuke and Yoshitsugu. Give it your all. If you fall, you served me well and I will pray for the losses we will have later today. Good luck my men, do not fail me!"
"YES LORD IEYASU!" his men shouted in unison.
Ieyasu headed to his main fortress to wait for Mitsunari's arrival. He couldn't wait to see the true potential of his rival. Even though he had different views than Mitsunari, he still felt like he could get Mitsunari to either join him or form an alliance to allow them not to fight or kill anyone anymore. He wanted to join this country by peace and bonding together, not by torture and murder.
"IEYASU! I WILL KIIIILLLLL YOUUUUUU!"
"Ahh, his screaming is quite obnoxious." Ieyasu covered his ears. "Heh, no worries, I'll shut him up later."
"Ieyasu," Tsuruhime spoke. "What level of like do you have for that big meanie Mitsunari?"
"A level of compassion my dear Tsuruhime." he smiled. "Now, go out there with the Saica troops, be careful."
Tsuruhime giggled and went out to meet with the Saica troops. Ieyasu sighed and blushed a little bit. He couldn't believe he actually liked Mitsunari liked that, in a way he never thought was normal. He sat down and looked up into the sky and closed his eyes. He was going to wait for Mitsunari to come. He was waiting to feel the Dark King's prescence in the area.
"I've been waiting for you," Ieyasu stood up removing his hood. "Ishida Mitsunari."
"Ieyasu," Mitsunari unsheathed his sword. "I will kill you with this sword in the name of Lord Hideyoshi."
"Is that so?" Ieyasu smiled. "Mitsunari, I wish not to fight you, but make an alliance and peace offering."
"You expect me to let you live after you killed My Lord?" Mitsunari growled. "How stupid can you be?"
"You don't even let me finish what I need to say to calm your rage." Ieyasu chuckled. "Mitsunari, I will surrender to you, and allow you to rule over this nation, on one condition."
Mitsunari put his sword away then crossed his arms.
"I'm listening," he said impatiently.
"If I let you be the King of the whole nation, you must allow me to at least be second in command," he smirked. "I will not betray you if you allow me that."
Mitsunari looked at Ieyasu and examined him. He had the voice of compassion and honesty. He had that way of making others loyal to him and joining him easily. He chuckled, then began to laugh manically. Ieyasu looked at the insane man in front of him and walked to him. This urge was surging inside of him. He grabbed Mitsunari's arm and slammed him against the wall.
The silver haired man looked at Ieyasu's smirking brown eyes with confusion. His eyes went wide, feeling something invade his personal space and he wanted to punch the older. But his hands were binded above him and he was in a weird position he couldn't get out of. Ieyasu stood back and crossed his arms.
"I was being serious on my offer," he slowly walked away. "And that kiss I planted upon you."
"I-" Mitsunari was frozen.
Ieyasu had kissed him. What was this? He didn't understand. Was that kind of actions even allowed? He shook his head and stood up tall and proud again.
"I agree with the offer," he walked passed him. "Just never do that again, or I will kill you."
"No promises Mitsunari." Ieyasu chuckled. "Get some rest, tomorrow we will tell the nation our plan."
Mitsunari stood there in shock. Ieyasu KISSED him, on the lips. It wasn't even a cheek kiss to show friendship but it was lips. Did Ieyasu actually like him like that? In a compassionate way?
