A A A A

The next day arrived more quickly than Mitsunari thought it would come. He got in his armor and walked outside of his tent and saw Ieyasu standing about ten feet from his tent. He raised an eyebrows, wondering what this idiot was pondering about.

"Ah, beautiful morning isn't it Mitsunari?" Ieyasu smiled.

"I prefer the darkness but yes, it's not that bad this morning." Mitsunari replied. "Since I know you're a man of you're word, I intrust you being second in command when I am not around these grounds ruling."

Ieyasu chuckled and walked near the edge of the cliff and looked at his army and Mitsunari's and Yukimura's army not fighting. He had announced the treaty while the others were asleep, making it easier and less stressful on Mitsunari. Mitsunari walked over to Yukimura and tapped his shoulder, the younger looking around with a rice ball in his mouth.

"My apologies Mitsunari," Yukimura swallowed his food. "You do not look too happy this morning."

"I do not trust Ieyasu 100% yet," Mitsunari kneeled closer to him. "Keep an eye out on him for me. If he plans to backstab me, kill him and you get second in command."

"Yes sir." Yukimura saluted Mitsunari.

Yukimura watched Mitsunari walked away and he smiled brightly. Him becoming second in command over the Western Army would totally make him happy. He stood up, catching Sasuke's attention. Sasuke stood up next to his General and spun his blade around. He was in control of the Ninja Forces in the Shingen Army. He's been Yukimura's friend ever since they were kids.

"Lord Mitsunari was being serious too," Yukimura looked out in the forces. "He trusts me to protect him. Sasuke, do you know how much stress that puts on me?"

"It's a lot," Sasuke rubbed the back of his head. "Considering you're the Leader of Lord Shingen's Army now and now quite possibly becoming second in command to the Western Army, that is a lot General."

Yukimura felt Sasuke pat his back rough and he looked at the older.

"That's why I am here," Sasuke winked at him. "I won't let you down General."

"Many thanks Sasuke," Yukimura smiled.

Sasuke nodded at him and disappeared into thin air. Yukimura looked over to see Ieyasu talking to Tsuruhime and Hideaki, the two that stood standing after Mitsunari knocked them flat on their butts last night. He felt an eerie feeling around him and turned around, his spear meeting contact with someone else's weapons and he gasped.

"Kotaro, what are you doing here?"

Kotaro handed Yukimura a note and the younger read it.

"One moment," he walked over to Ieyasu. "Lord Ieyasu, a message from Kotaro and Kotaro's Lord."

"A peace treaty huh?" Ieyasu read it. "Well, Mitsunari isn't here so I humbly accept this peace treaty. Kotaro! Tell your Lord that me and Mitsunari humbly accept!"

Kotaro was gone in a flash and Yukimura sighed. He didn't talk much, he wondered why. Yukimura walked back over to his spot and sat down. He was worried about his Lord Shingen, he hasn't heard any recent news on his Lord's illness.

"General Yukimura, we have news on Lord Shingen."

"Please by the GODS let him be okay." Yukimura said worried.

"He is slowly getting better," one of his soldiers said. "He wishes to see you when you are able to7."

"I will go now." he stood up. "Sasuke, I know you're around, I am going to see Lord Shingen. Lord Ieyasu, if Mitsunari comes back, please tell him I am seeing my Lord."

"Of course Yukimura," Ieyasu replied. "Your Lord's health is the most important thing to you right now. Be safe on your trip."

Yukimura headed off and looked back. Ieyasu better now have anything planned while he is away. He headed off faster to reach his Lord quicker and got stopped by a group of men blocking his path.

'Great,' Yukimura thought. 'It's Masamune's men.'

"If it isn't the Young Tiger Of Kai," Masamune came through his men. "What are you doing on this side?"

"To go see my Lord Shingen," Yukimura put his weapons away. "He is ill, so I please ask of you to let me through."

"Of course," Masamune smiled. "Lord Shingen is a great Master, please give him my wishes to get better."

"I will," Yukimura headed off.

The young Tiger of Kai looked back and raised an eyebrow. That was way too easy of him to get through Masamune and his troops. What was that dragon planning?
