Beyond the fruit bowl

apples, kiwis, bananas and sole

                                                                grapefruit

so sweet and juicy.

The orange ate the strawberries

thinking he was human

                                and munched

                                                  the cherries

on the granite countertop

pulp and juice bled;

mess of a fruit salad

deathbed;

pits and seeds

side by side.

In their wake

the grapefruit cried.

I was inspired by a HunHan fic I've read some weeks ago.
