Finale

 

"Yah!" he shouted and tried to get your attention. You looked at his direction and mouthed 'What'. He went to you and shook you lightly,

"Are. You. Okay?" He asked slowly and looked at you. You smiled at him and chuckled

"Yeah, I'm okay," you answered and turned away. Why can't you see it? How can you be so blind? I'm hurt here and still you can't see it?!  You thought and shook your head.

He came nearer to you and blocked your path, "I won't let you walk away, until you'll tell me something." He said and spread his arms across,

"What? Seriously, I have nothing to tell you." You said and pushed him away.

"Hey! What's happening to you?! You're not like that for the past few days. Is there something bothering you?!" he asked firmly. Actually, Yes. It bothers me every time you talk about 'her'. She's always the one! What about me?! I love you! I love you! You thought and tried to hold your tears back.

You smiled and turned away from him. You don't want to talk about it, WITH HIM. You knew from the start that he has no feelings for you.

"Yah!" He tried to get your attention but he failed. You didn't even bother looking back at him. You suddenly felt your cheeks wet, you brushed the tears that had fallen down and tried smiling. 

I feel like I'm an idiot whenever I'm with you. You thought and just heaved a sigh. You sat at a nearby bench and stared up the skies.

A leaf had fallen down on your lap. You grabbed it and softly caressed it with your hand. I wish I was the one in 'her' place, Maybe, I'll feel like I'm in cloud nine Your mind is just stuck with one topic and it's HIM.

You wanted to tell him that you're in love with him for such a long time but when 'she' came along, your world crashed. You never knew that they'll be the one MEANT FOR EACH OTHER. 

You sobbed and covered you mouth. It hurts….. A LOT! Especially, if your one and only love is already with someone else. You stood up from the bench and walked away. While on your way to your apartment, he texted you:

“Yah! _____! Where are you? Can you come over here at our meeting place? I wanna tell you something.”  You heaved a sigh and gently put your phone back in your pocket.

You wanted to go home and take a rest but your feet dragged you somewhere else. It’s as if you can’t control your mind nor your body movements.

Your feet found its way to your meeting place, the place where you two met and became best friends. It’s been awhile since you two came here.

You saw him leaning against the old oak tree and approached him. His eyes widened when he saw you in front of him. He kept his posture cool even though you saw him did that.

“Hey, ____! Come here, sit.” He said and sat on the lively, green grass.

You sat farther from him and tried to build up a conversation, “You said you’ll tell me something?” You asked curiously and looked down.

“Umm…. Yeah.” He answered and played with his fingers. “It’s about me and my girlfriend.” He added.

Your heart shattered into billion pieces when you heard the word ‘girlfriend’ You held your tears back and bit your bottom lip.

What about her?! Are you gonna tell me you’re getting married with her?! You know, I can’t take this anymore! You did a double take at him and then breath in deeply, “Uh… What about you two?” you asked coldly and secretly clutched your fists.

He was silent at the moment and he then breath in deeply. “We…… broke up.” He said and heaved a sigh.

I knew it, you two are getting- WHAT?! Your mind blew off and left your jaws dropped.

“We broke up, ______.” He said again and put his hands firmly on your shoulder. He stood up and dusted off his jeans. He helped you get up and smiled weakly at you.

“Y-you t-two broke up? W-why?” You stuttered in disbelief and looked at him. He smiled at you and said

“We broke up because I thought she was the one meant for me but I guess, the one meant for me was right here all along.” Your eyes widened at those words,

“You l-like me?” You asked him.

“Correction! I DON’T LIKE YOU!” He said and chuckled. Your smile faded away and your eyes started to fill with tears. You covered your mouth and cried hard.

“I don’t like you, _____ because…….” He walked to you and hugged you tightly. “I LOVE YOU, _____. I really do.”

Your heart softened when you heard him say those 3 magical words. You looked up to him and smiled, “I love you too!” You hugged him back and felt his heart beating for you and only YOU.

He lifted your chin up and met your gaze. He slowly leaned in and kissed your lips softly. Your stomach was full of butterflies, your mind was overloaded with thoughts of him, and your heart is beating crazily for him.

He broke the kiss and then kissed your forehead. “I love you, ____.” He whispered and smiled.

You snuggled with him closer and whispered, “I love you too.” You found yourself breaking the hug and kissing him on both of his cheeks. I guess you weren’t blind at all. Finally, you saw my love for you.
