You Got Me Mockingly

The sun was barely up when Enigma woke. Glancing around at the state of her room, the female let out a drawn out sigh. Her dresser had been knocked over and its contents littered the floor along with a few articles of clothing.

She could barely piece together last night. She remembered that Malikah had turned up and then the pair drank for some hours until the older girl got up and left somewhere. After that, Mu had brought her back and they...

Daring to peek back over her shoulder, sure enough, her escort was looking at her bare back with hazy eyes.

Smiling when the woman met his line of sight, Mu blinked up playfully like a puppy. “Was it okay?”

Rolling on over to face the man, Enigma stroked the messy locks off of his face. “I enjoyed myself.”

Snaking an arm over her waist and pulling her closer, the female's guest nuzzled into her neck affectionately. “Me too.” Slowly, his lips began to leave a tender trail of kisses along her collarbone and  upper chest. “Maybe you should stay here a little longer.”

Elsewhere, Malikah woke in a room she was not familiar with. A simple space with very few personal possessions and decorated with plain white with hints of pale blue and gold.  No matter how still she kept, her body ached all over. Easing herself onto her side, snippets of last night fizzled into her mind of how she had gone back to Rohroh's place for round two. And three.

Rolling out of the huge bed with the utmost care, the woman winced at the multiple pains collaborating with each other to render her defenceless. Picking up her pipe that had been knocked off the night stand, the young woman got back into the cosy bed with hopes that if she lie down, the discomfort would subside.

Facing the sleeping man and leaning on her arm with her hand propping her head up, the female just watched aimlessly as she puffed on her vice. How long had it been since she's shared someone's bed?

Frowning to herself at the annoying thought, she couldn't help but to scoff. 'No matter. It always ends in the same way...'

Peeping out of one eye, Rohroh scanned the figure that had just flipped on to her stomach. “How long have you been awake?”

A small smile appeared on her lips. Really, there was nothing sexier than a man's voice after he'd just woke up.

Stretching, Rohroh eyed the woman that had been staring at his exposed upper half. “What did you think of last night?”

“It was okay.” Her smirk was hidden as got back out of the bed and picked up her strewn pants.

“You don't have to lie. You can tell me I was just that great.” He told with his eyes closed and his arms folded behind his head.

Sitting on the edge of the bed gave Rohroh the opportunity to see the transparent mar's lacing the female's back. He hadn't noticed last night due to it being dark, but the extent made think that even the lack of light should have made it impossible.

Catching the odd silence, Malikah glanced back over her shoulder with a smirk. “Oh, I don't know about 'great'. Maybe you should show me again, to refresh my memory.”

Rough hands took the girl's waist from his lying position while prominent canines drug into the  once snow like skin where her neck met her shoulder.

Rushing around like a headless chicken, Mu flipped the furniture of the woman's apartment in order to find his belongings. “I'm really sorry about having to leave like this, but I have to get to work or else they'll have my head.”

Sprawled out atop of scrunched up sheets, Enigma groaned at her spinning vision and burning throat. “Don't worry about it. I have to shake off this hangover anyway.” Her eyes narrowed at the mess. “And try to fix the state of this place. But, before you go...”

Stopping instantly to pay attention, the soldier swayed halfway through fastening his shoe. “What is it?”

With cocked eyebrow and mouth ajar in thought, the female pointed at the staggering man. “Do you know where Malikah went?”

Mu choked. He had almost forgotten about what he had seen last night. Should he explain now while the female was incapacitated by the after effects of alcohol and unable to run around the town with a pitchfork after his friend?

Waving her hand lightly before she could be called out, Enigma huffed. “I'm not worried about her. She's probably gone back to some poor, unsuspecting guy's house and lived up to her reputation. It's just that she doesn't know where I live.” Letting the side of her face hit the pillow, she let out a knowing chuckle.

'Poor, unsuspecting guy?' Rubbing the back of his head, the Captain cleared his throat ready to spit out the truth at an inhuman speed. “I-saw-her-with-Rohroh-and-they-went-off-down-an-alley-together-and-both-haven't-been-seen-since.”

Enigma sat up and blinked for a few seconds only to fall back down laughing like a crazy person. “Seriously?”

Mu gave a cautious glance. “You're not mad?”

“Uh?” Rolling on to her front with a look of confusion, the woman scratched her head with a hum. “I think Rohroh might of met his match.” She started laughing again after mentally replaying how they pair would interact. Unlike Mu's impossible version, Enigma had a better grip on reality when the image of the pair starting off by vicious provoking and fist fights, until eventually leading up to throwing entire buildings at each other came into her mind.

Mu grimaced. “Maybe you have too much faith in her.”

“You'll see for yourself when you see him at work, right?”

“Yea---Ah! Work!” Dashing forwards, Mu planted a quick kiss on the female's lips and then rushed for the door. “I'll speak to you later!”

Turning her head to see his dishevelled appearance, Malikah tried to heave a decent breath. “Don't worry; I'll be going soon.”

Also trying to regulate his breath, the man beside her frowned. “What's wrong with you?”

“What do you mean?” She raised her eyebrows.

“I didn't say you have to leave.”

“Is there any point in staying longer?” Even more wracked with pain than before, Malikah hunted down her clothes that had been thrown about yet again.

Remaining on his back, propped up on his elbows, Rohroh grumbled at the naked figure shuffling around the space. “Do you hate people that much?”

The question he'd asked caught her off guard. She knew, even after only being acquainted to him for a night that he wasn't all that bright, so why was it that he would ask such a thing when people much smarter than even herself would avoid the subject like the plague?

“Yeah...” With her back to the man she'd bedded, Malikah kept her bored tone like it was an entirely normal answer. “I hate them.”

“So this was a mistake?” Shifting to the edge of the bed, Rohroh watched the woman pull her top over her head and then reach for the black sash that he wore daily without fail. “You went through all that trouble to end up regretting it?”

“First off, I don't regret – 'Completely void of the useless thing.” She flapped her hand bitterly as she finished wrapping the ebony cloth around her neck like a scarf. “I also don't make mistakes. So I suppose that includes the men I've slept with.”

“And there's been a fair few.” He smiled knowingly when she looked at him.

Her anger fizzled out before she had chance to act on it. He was right after all. She couldn't rip in to him and start shouting harsh words because it's not like it was a lie in order to get her back up.

“You're right.” Snaking around the partially open door, Malikah didn't look back as she closed the barrier behind her.

Stood at the dock, waiting for the go ahead to board, the two females made small talk as what little luggage they had was being stowed.

“I just heard you're leaving early, so I came to say goodbye.” Huffing and puffing, Mu bent double as he attempted to wave at the women.

“Isn't he sweet?” Malikah grinned at her friend swallowing back the awkwardness.

“I didn't want to say bye for a reason...”

Finding the energy to straighten up, the Captain beamed while holding a statuesque pose. “Because you're madly in love with me and want to stay?”

Enigma punched the man in the arm and scoffed at the stupidity. “As if.” Sniffling sharply to clear her nose, the female turned away.

Smiling like usual despite the attack, Mu snatched the girl's wrist and spun her around and into his grasp. Just like the night before, strong arms constricted around her torso as a pair of amber eyes stared down into hers.

“Wha---”

Warm lips crashed into Enigma's without giving her time to realize what was going on and the hands that had been up in shock steadily took a hold of tensed biceps.

“Ack.” Malikah pretended to gag at the intense make out scene right there in the open. “Yeah...you two...just continue...” She joked as she turned away and strode up the board-walk, on the prowl for some form of alcohol.

Fifteen drawn out minutes later and Enigma had joined her friend on the deck of the ship. Stood by a small round table and leaning against the side barrier, the eldest girl knocked back her drink. Once out of sight from the port, they shared a knowing silence as they looked out at the vast ocean.

Malikah glanced slyly at the female switching her weight from one foot to the other and then back again. “Why don't you sit down?”

Narrowing her eyes, Enigma glowered. “Why don't you sit down?

Instantly, the pair broke into laughter, only to wince in pain.

“I can't even fuckin' move.” The younger girl told honestly.

Brushing the ashen hair off of her face, the older woman continued to watch the waves swish for as far as the eye could see.“It was nice of him to see you off.”

“Are you upset Rohroh didn't show up?” Enigma mirrored her friend's expression.

“Do I look upset?” The older woman turned to her junior and pointed at her own face in surprise.

Enigma tilted her head in thought. “In all the time I've known you, I've never seen you look down, so no. I hardly reckon a man you just met could cause you to shed tears.”

Malikah waved her hand playfully. “Well that's obvious. Men I've known for years can't even bring me to that.” She forced a laugh.

“It looks like you got a souvenir though.” She lightly tugged the black mass covering her friends neck and shoulders. “Now we've cleared that up, what are we doing next?”

“I need to speak to someone so we're going to Kō.” The older girl told matter of factly before crossing her arms over the thick wooden side and resting her head on top. “After that depends on his answer.”
