Chapter 1: Body Language

"Xion! Xion!" Taking a deep breath of nervous excitement, the raven haired girl rushed onto the stage and blew a kiss at the crowd in front of her. Two bobby pins in bright red color held back the left side of her hair, matching the slightly-too-big jacket she wore; unzipped. The jacket had been a gift from her best friend Axel, and it only seemed fitting that she wear it on the biggest stage she'd been on yet. Under the jacket she wore a black tiered shirt, one of her favorites.
Xion waved at the excited audience as she took hold of the microphone, careful of her tennis shoes, that might squeak if she wasn't careful. Luckily, her dark blue jeans were short enough they wouldn't trip her. She was a little on the clumsy side. She held the microphone to her mouth and spoke loudly, hoping to keep the attention of the crowd. "A lot of you guys have been asking what kind of singer I am. Many of you have come hoping to hear one type of music or another. Some of you came to hear the rock, some of you came to hear the pop, and some of you came for something completely different. The truth is, I'm more than just a rock singer or a pop singer. I like to sing all of the beautiful songs in this world, and I hope you'll enjoy listening to mine!"
While there were a few murmurs of disagreement; it was easily drowned out by the cheers of her fans. She couldn't believe there were so many people here! So many people had come to hear her sing. She laughed joyfully at the crowd before speaking again. "I guess I should sing now, huh?" The roar of approval gave her an answer, and she placed the mic on it's stand before the entire place went pitch black, and the music began. Xion quickly took off the jacket and tied it around her waist, exposing that the tiered shirt was in fact spaghetti strapped. She wasn't one to expose a lot of skin, but she knew the stage lights would kill her if she wore too much.
Hitohira no hanabira ga, yureteiru boku no tonari de ima...
As she began to sing the lights put the spotlight on her, and she couldn't help but smile not only out at the crowd, but at a bright blue eyed blonde boy near the front of the stage, who obviously hadn't heard her sing before. She held the mic as it was on the stand and sang like that; tipping the stand toward her a little. A brown haired boy with eyes as bright as his smile noticed her smiling at the blonde and slung an arm over his friend's shoulder.
Xion, trying to hide her blush, removed the mic from it's stand and walked across the stage, touching hands along the way and smiling all the way, as though to make it seem as though she smiled at particular people all the time. One fan attempted to grab her jacket, and she moved away quickly; trying not to seem rude. Sometimes she gave away things to her fans, but this one was special. Moving back along the stage, she went to the opposite side and did the same smiling and hand holding as she had with the others, not noticing that as she was lost in the song she was singing; the jacket was slipping lower and lower on her waist.
She finally made it back to the center of the stage, where the blonde and brunette waited in the crowd.
....Damatta mama no kimi no te no hira, tadoritsuita namida ga hajiketa....
She stepped to the edge of the stage and held out her hand for them to grab as well, and while the other fans leaned closer to try getting a hold of her, the blonde obviously was too shy to reach for her. Which is why it wasn't surprising when the brunette grabbed the blonde's arm and thrust it toward her. Xion grabbed the outstretched hand and smiled brightly at the boy between lyrics before letting go. The blonde was blushing quite a bit and playfully punched the brunette.
Trying not to giggle between the song lyrics, she turned to walk toward the right side of the crowd.
sore na no ni te ga todoku saki no kimi ga....
And as she did so, the jacket slipped completely and landed around her ankles. Noticing seconds too late, she tripped over the jacket and fell off the edge of the stage, landing with her side against the blonde she'd been staring at, and had accidentally tackled to the ground.
