Chapter 2: Right Where You Want Me

Xion-despite her shock and embarrassment-was uninjured. She sat up and looked at the boy below her. "I'm so sorry!" She stood and held a hand out to him, but her fans surrounded her before she got the chance to help him up. She struggled to look back at him, mentally cursing her shortness. She looked at the fans surrounding her; only then noticing that they were asking her questions.
"Xion, are you okay? Did the fall hurt? Did he hurt you?"
Xion thought they were sounding a lot like the press looking for a scoop rather than genuinely concerned. She shook her head at them all. "I'm fine, really, I'm okay," She started peeking around their heads; "but I need to see if I hurt him." Eventually the blonde haired boy made his own way through to her instead; along with his brown haired friend. On closer inspection they were obviously related. She looked at the blonde boy she'd fallen on. "Are you alright?"
The boy opened his mouth to answer, but the brown haired boy slammed a hand over his mouth and looked at Xion mischievously. "Of course he's not. At least, not until you make it up to him" The blonde boy shot a glare at the brunette, who still covered his mouth. "I'm Sora, and this is Roxas that you landed on."
Xion looked at them both. "It's nice to meet you. I should probably get back on stage before everything down here gets out of hand." She glanced nervously at the fans around her. Most of them seemed harmless, but sometimes they could be a lot more destructive than they meant to be. Sora took his hand off Roxas, and Xion smiled at him a little. "I really am sorry. I will make it up to you." Just then the security guards made their way over. It had taken them a long time to make it through the legions of fans. Xion visibly relaxed when the guards made their way over and started ushering her fans away. She reached out and took a hand of both Roxas and Sora; looking at the security. "These two are with me."
Nodding, they kept them separated from the rest of the fans as they made their way backstage. Once they reached backstage she headed onto the stage and picked up the jacket that had fallen. She knew her face probably matched the color of the jacket. Especially since she new this concert had been filmed.
Backstage, Sora and Roxas awaited Xion's return. Sora looked at Roxas with bright, but serious eyes. "This is perfect, Roxas! You wanted to meet her; here's your chance. Get her to hang out with you."
Roxas shook his head with a sigh. "When I said it would be cool to meet her I didn't think it would actually happen."
Sora grinned. "I didn't drag you to her concert for nothing. You were going to meet her even if all this didn't happen. I would have brought you backstage in secret." His smile grew. "The difference is; this proves you were meant to meet her."
Roxas stared at Sora before starting to speak, but was interrupted by Xion coming back over; wearing the jacket properly this time. Xion smiled at them lightly. "I guess your day hasn't gone as planned, huh?" Roxas only nodded. "So what is it you would like? A CD? Or an autograph? I'm up for almost anything. I could have gotten pretty injured if you weren't standing there."
Roxas looked at her. "I don't need anything."
Sora looked at Xion. "Oh, don't believe that. He's just shy. He wants to hang out with you. Like a date!"
Roxas punched his companion in the shoulder. "Sora!"
Xion, after blinking in surprise laughed a little. Both boys looked at her. "I don't date people I barely know." She held out a hand to Roxas. "But I could always use a friend."
Roxas looked at her hand for a long moment before taking it. Xion smiled at him. "Roxas, right? Do you have stage fright?"
"Not usually....." Of course, Roxas had never been on a stage with this many people.
"Good." Xion tugged him by the hand out onto the stage with her; her fans roared with excitement when she came out. They had come to hear her sing, after all. Xion gripped his hand and smiled at the crowd. "Can I get some applause for my hero?" She raised Roxas' hand with her own as if he had just won some sort of fight; causing Roxas' face to to turn bright red as the crowd appraised him, laughing a little, she called out; "Louder!" The crowd got three times as loud, and as it died down she let their hands fall back down. "This is Roxas. He's going to hang out with me after this." She raised her voice. "But we've got a concert to finish, don't we?" The crowd roared again with their approval. Lowering her voice again, she looked to Roxas. "Wait for me backstage?"
Roxas gave a quick nod, glad she didn't have him stay on stage with her. He would have felt too out of place. Xion squeezed his hand before letting go and letting him head backstage. Someone from the staff came forward to bring her a new microphone; hers had disappeared into the crowd(At least they had left the stand behind), but before the person even made it passed the curtain Sora darted forward, took it from his hand and brought it out to her. Xion took it with a smile. "Looking for a job, Sora?"
Sora smiled brightly at her. "I couldn't let Roxas have all the fun." Having said that he waved not only at her, but also at the crowd before going backstage to Roxas, whom gave him a disapproving look. Sora smiled at him sheepishly.
And with everything-mostly-back to normal; the music started again.
