Alcohol
The cause of, and solution to, all life's problems.

"What did you want me to do?" Peyton, the tall redhead, stood with her arms folded underneath her breasts as she glared down on her friend having a tantrum.

What should be mentioned is the fact they were in the middle of a forest at 5:30am as a light drizzle just started to add to the mess.

"I don't want to talk to you." The blonde huffed and threw her nose up childishly, the momentum causing her to stagger and fall into the side of one of the trees.

"We're friends."

"Nope, you're not. You wouldn't even help me out." Again, Liliana slurred as she swayed a bottle of Jack Daniels. "I only have one friend and that is alcohol."

"I think you should really come home."

"I dun wanna." The blonde kicked her feet.

Letting out a heavy sigh, the redhead warned like a Mother would a child making a threat with their Father. "Don't make me call Elijah."

Instantly, the older girl's head shot around, a look of shock cutting through the daze. "You wouldn't dare."

Peyton pulled her phone from her jacket pocket and began scrawling through the contacts. "I'm calling him now." She told as she placed the device to her ear.

"No!" The blonde reached out to stop the redhead but ended up tripping. Landing face first amongst the fallen leaves, Lily groaned.

"Yeah, I found her." Peyton side-eyed her friend rolling around as she spoke into the receiver.

"Where is she?"

"Around two and a half miles into the forest behind the Lockwood estate."

"What is she doing there?" He sounded surprised.

Peyton kicked one of the many empty bottles littering the floor. "By the looks of things, drowning her sorrows."

"I am not..." The blonde murmured with her arms stretched above her head, still face down and now unmoving.

"She's completely in denial."

"I'll kick ya arse."

"Try it, Rocky."

In an attempt to take a decent breath, the blonde sucked up a leaf and began chocking. "I-ack-ack-urk-phuh!"

Some twenty minutes later, Elijah came into view. He didn't seem pleased, but at that point, the blonde didn't have the capacity to even try and care. "Liliana, what have you been up to?"

Now sitting on the ground with her back resting against a fallen tree trunk, the blonde's eyes rolled as she swayed her head mockingly. "Don't you, 'Liliana' me."

Taken aback by the tone, Elijah looked at Peyton for some kind of explanation - To which she had none. "She reeks of alcohol." He whispered to the redhead.

Bringing a bottle of Jack to her lips, the blonde scoffed. "I can still hear ya."

Crouching down and slipping his arms under hers, the eldest narrowed his eyes. "I think we should get you back." Turning his face from hers as to not be attacked any further by the stench of booze emitting from her, Elijah hoisted the woman up to her unstable feet. "I'm disappointed in you."

Peyton, who was walking a few paces behind snorted at the tone Elijah was using. In fact, the redhead found the whole scene hilarious. Anyone would think that something awful had sent the older girl off the rails, which was far from the truth.

What had caused to tantrum was nothing more than the fact she had lost at Monopoly. And when she had said earlier about not helping her, she was referring to the fact that Peyton went and bought Boardwalk and would not sell it even though Liliana had Park Place first. And according to the blonde, that small detail was what eventually brought about her downfall.

For the next week or so, Liliana found out she would not be able to go anywhere without basically everyone mentioning her childish bickering over a board game or the drunken escapade. Even Niklaus had made some passing comment about minor's sneaking out with their parents alcohol and drinking more than they could handle - Something she was sure was said with the intent to irk her. She guessed that she would never really live the incident down, especially where Peyton was concerned.  The younger girl had even gone as far as to put a ridiculous joke alarm on the booze cupboard. 'Alcoholic on the move, alcoholic on the move!' would blear every God damn time she opened the door, which was often. The older woman had many problems and it was a fact that drinking until recalling important things wasn't going to happen was the way to get through (un)life.
