Chapter 3

Chapter 3:

 

“ Would you like a cup of tea?”

“ No thanks.”

“ Mum, I think JaeKwang and I should get going.”

“ Bring Krystal with you and take her back her after school so we can show her a tour. She is your friend isn’t she?”

“ She’s not anyone’s friend mum.”

“ Alice!”

“ It’s true moth-er.”

Krystal swiftly got out her seat and pushed Alice and JaeKwang aside before running out the house. She didn’t really mind not having friends, but Alice was just a tad too mean. She ran to school without looking back.

 

Krystal quickly took deep breaths before walking into class. Alice had not yet arrived. She got into her seat with her books in her bag. It wasn’t the right time to be in front of Alice’s face. She needed to be alone for a while. 

 

During recess, Krystal unfortunately found a small table next to the big empty table where Alice would sit usually. She felt uncomfortable sitting near that table. She ate her lunch in mouthfuls while starring at the table. There it was again, the group of people walking in the pathway made by the peasants in the school. Krystal got up and walked off to a more ‘no one cared’ area, but as she was walking still taking mouthfuls of her lunch, she happened to accidentally bump into something, a can of soda and fried rice.

 

Krystal slipped and made a huge calamity with banging and crashing. Everyone looked at her. Her uniform was full of sticky substance and topping of peas, corn and rice. Some teased her and other just ignored it. As she got up fragile, a girl stood in front of her with her hands out. 

 

“ Thanks a lot for helping me clean my uniform. My parents would kill me if they saw what had happened.”

“ No worries.”

You had met your first friend at Crosswell Secondary. Her name was Diana. She had a slim figure, 170cm and had flawless skin. 

“ My friends’ are away today, they wagged school for this concert in the city. I’ll introduce you to them tomorrow.”

“ Oh ok, that’s cool.”

There were a few awkward silences in the conversation. Hopefully, Krystal would be able to make a better conversation tomorrow with the rest of her friends.

“ See you at lunch then.” She waved to Krystal. She was a senior student. Krystal was only in year nine*. 

 

The day had turned out to be not so bad. Krystal was walking home with a good tune in her head and had just waved goodbye to a new friend of hers. She walked slowly and for once, enjoyed her walk back home. As she was walking, she had no suspicions of anything that wasn’t right, not even noticing anything until she was pushed into a car.

 

Krystal went so crazy when she was pushed into that car. She kept her eyes closed and tried to open the door while the car was still driving. She heard many nosies around her, they sound like a voice she had heard of just recently. She slowly stopped and opened her eyes. Ch- Someone was on top of her. She screamed and fainted.

 

“ Her eyes are opening.”

“ Shut up, you don’t want to scare her like you did before.”

“ I didn’t do anything! Go get water!”

“ What if she wakes up?”

“ She’s not. Gosh, we’ll go together.”

Krystal was lying on a soft cozy bed. Her eyes slowly opened. She rubbed them a few times before realising her surroundings. She in a room that was extremely neat. She got up and scanned her surroundings a few times and flopped herself back onto the bed.

 

“ Hello madam.”

A handsome boy was sitting on the edge of the bed Krystal was on. She blinked a few times and quickly woke herself fully.

“ Where am I?” Krystal asked.

“ Next door,” the boy said happily with a cute grin.

“ Are you sure this isn’t a dream?” She asked all confused.

“ Yep, would you like a cup of tea?” He asked with a cup of tea in his hands. Krystal looked outside the window and saw it shut.

“ No thanks. I’m sorry to have asked, but what time is it?”

“ Why past your tea time.”

“ Would you please tell me the time?”

“ No.” It started to get annoying how the cute boy was very irritating.

“ Can you just take me home?” She asked in frustrating. After a minute or so of the silence foot steps came coming in. A girl with black hair in casual clothes came in. Krystal noticed immediately that it was someone she knew, it was Alice.

 

The cup of tea, the neatness, the cute boy, “you’re next door”, it all fit in to a puzzle. How could she have not noticed that it was Alice’s home. “ So are you going to leave soon?” Alice asked impatiently. “ Don’t say that!” The cute boy said. “ Let her stay,” he gave a wink to Krystal. He whispered something in Alice’s ear and she walked off with a blank expression. Was he gonna tease Krystal the next day or something? Did they even go to the same school?

“ So what’s your name?” He asked in a cute way. Krystal thought about this question thinking if should should say her real name, “ Olivia.”

That wasn’t her real name, it was Krystal. He gave a giant grin and said, “ Olivia! Such a pretty name, Olivia!”

 

Krystal was sitting at her table studying for who knows what. There was no internet, no phone connection, no television, nothing! There was nothing to do except study, but there was something she kept wondering about, the number of the cute boy who never introduced himself. She kept looking at it.

 

“ Uh, what are you doing here?” Krystal had company.

“ What a nice way of greeting someone in the early morning!” The cute guy was at her doorstep and ready to walk her to school.

“ By the way, what’s your name?” Krystal asked.

“ Rebecca, jokes it Kevin.”

“ What a plain Asian name.”

 

Krystal walked with ‘Kevin’ to school and had learnt much about Kevin the night before. He acted like one of those ‘popular’ dudes who hit on girls, but rejected their request. It sounded a bit off how she was the plain girl next door who he would talk to all night long. Very Off.

Gonna study hardcore and watch anime (YEAH!)

Just to tell you guys I’ve already started the next chapter so it won’t take too long, hopefully. I am the worst updating author ever and I don’t even make sense, ugh.
