Bitter.

_____________________________________________________________________________

It was one of the most bitter winters I had ever experienced. The wind howled unmercifully as snow muffled the remnants of dying nature and blanketed the streets in a sea of everlasting white. The moon hung like a silver blade in the sky, and it was on this freezing night that I had made my decision. I packed what little precious belongings I had into my worn backpack, before hoisting it onto my shoulder and slipping stealthily down the stairs.

I was careful to open the front door slowly so as to avoid it creaking, and once I stepped outside, I was enveloped in cold air. The snow covered my footprints, leaving no trace of my escape as I ventured onto the dark, forbidding streets and into the unknown.

I didn’t look back.

Interesting. It shall be a sweet read. I love your wording and the way you've captured me from the FIRST sentence. And I love your artwork! I guess I know who to go to if I need a poster ;) haha. I can't wait. Take your time. Good luck.
