You Shouldn't Ask

A good hour had passed when Dean - with interjections from Crowley - had finished explaining what had been going on, or at least what they thought was. During that time, Adrienna had got up and made herself useful.

The redhead was standing in front of the stove wearing a long forgotten apron tied around her waist as she stirred the homemade soup on the hob. Catching something from the corner of her eye, the younger girl glanced to her left and after a split second, staggered back in shock. Clutching her chest, Adrienna pointed at the kitchen window. "What the fuck is that?"

Dean jumped out of his seat to check what the shouting was about as the blonde remained in her odd sitting position downing her sixth bottle.

"C-Cas?" The older hunter almost ripped the side door off its hinge as he opened it.

Blood covering the trench coat he was wearing, the addressed clung to the doorframe and grunted. "Urgh."

Peering back over his shoulder as much as he could, Crowley watched Sam stir from his sleep and sit up on the sofa. "The Moose is awake."

The blonde dunked her empty bottle in the bin and walked over to the newest addition, her chartreuse eyes scanning the unstable figure. "Castiel?"

Brows furrowed in obvious pain, the brunette staggered further inside the kitchen. "Do I know you?" The gruffness of his voice caught the two female's off guard.

"I've heard your name around."

The man opened his mouth to speak but he choked on his own breath. Coughing and spluttering, Castiel tried to cover his mouth.

Panicked, the man's friend became irate, demanding to know what was going on.

"Move." Evangeline tried to shove Dean out of the way but was mistaken if she thought it would be that easy. "I can fix him." She tried to explain.

"And why should we trust you?"

"I never asked you to trust me." She raised her brows as she tilted her head. "All we need is a place to stay and I'll repay you by getting the flasher back on his feet."

"Please do it." Castiel cut in before an argument could erupt.

"Cas?"

"I'm going to die, Dean."

"You know something like this is too good to be true."

Crowley rolled his eyes as he watched on with little interest. "Isn't this touching?"

Adrienna kicked the leg of the chair Crowley was sat on. "Keep your trap shut."

The newest addition peered up at his friend, his eyes trying to focus as he gripped the taller man's t-shirt for support. "I don't know why, but I feel like she can be trusted."

"That's great; I'm feeling all fuzzy inside." Tip toeing, the blonde held onto the injured male and leaned in towards his ear, whispering a few words under her breath.

Jolting back onto the wooden chair behind him, Castiel howled in agony as he gripped his head.

Holding his friend's shoulders down, Dean snarled back over his shoulder at the blonde. "What the Hell did you do to him?"

"Give it a moment and he'll be fine." Evangeline stretched and sat down on the chair beside the writhing man, ignoring his convulsions as she picked up one of the beers out of the cardboard box.

"Oh, shit. My food." The redhead remembered and dashed across the space to tend to her original recipe

Four days passed since the girls' introduction to the Winchesters. Sam had said he was suffering with headaches after his attempt at the final trial and Evangeline had used her creeper whispering to subdue the pain. Castiel was looking much better than he did when he arrived, but that was hardly difficult,  and Adrienna had even washed and stitched his flasher coat as a gesture of goodwill, she said (Evangeline knew it was because the guy was good looking).

What was unexpected though, was the fact all of the phones had been ringing off the hook. Talk of extraordinary supernatural occurrences were being reported across the states and hunters were calling in favours, asking for backup. Most of the others had been informed about what they thought was happening and the group of six now had some  peace and quiet to figure out what was really going on. The majority of the small group sat around the kitchen space, Adrienna was perched on the counter by the sink as Sam collected a few beers from the fridge. Castiel sat at the dining table facing Crowley with Evangeline lounging back-to-front on the chair beside him and Dean was overlooking them from Bobby's chair behind his desk in the study.

"Let's recap, shall we?" The others turned their attention to the blonde that struck up the conversation. "Four days ago, every soul that went to Heaven within the last few months has miraculously come back, and with a body no less. At the same time," She continued to talk as she looked over the notes she'd compiled. "angels fell from the sky and the ones that survived the fall seem to be having power malfunctions. Plus, there have been an influx in higher level demons in the areas where angels fell." Peering up and snatching her beer, the older girl looked at her company as if she was waiting for some form of helpful input. "Anything else?"

Cracking the lid off his bottle, Sam walked closer to the female and looked over her shoulder at the papers in front of her. "It seems to pretty much sum it up."

Pouring himself a double shot of the cheap whiskey, Dean coughed at the thought. "Now all we need to do is figure out why."

Wobbling his head mockingly, Crowley replied. "That's easier said than done."

"Don't sweat the details." Cracking her neck, Evangeline pushed herself up out of her seat and stretched. "For now, you can come along with me." She reached out for the man facing her only for the sound of metal clicking to resonate. Heaving a breath and holding her hands up, the blonde pursed her lips and took a step back. "I take it you have a problem with that?" Serpentine eyes landed on the older Winchester as she completely disregarded the giraffe pointing a gun at her back.

"As a matter of fact," Dean stood up, pushing the chair out with the backs of his legs as he went. "I do." Striding into the kitchen, the shorter brother narrowed his eyes as he pointed at the weird female. "You turn up at a time like this, acting like you have all the answers and then try to run off with Crowley. How is that not strange?"

Scratching the left side of her jaw, the woman pouted as she peered up. "My catch, my reward. Meaning," She took a step in until her breasts were pushed against his chest. Staring up, the blonde sneered as she prodded him back. "I can take him anywhere I want."

"My vote is to go with Tits." Crowley nodded towards the female as much as his restraints allowed.

The arguing pair snapped in union without removing their glares from each other. "Shut up."

Rolling his eyes, Crowley muttered to himself. "Yeah, I'll just still here. It's not like I have anything better to do."

Dean lowered his tone as he stared at the girl in front of him. "He's dangerous."

Bending her neck to make it crack, Evangeline whined with boredness. "You told me that already."

"Then listen to me."

Scoffing, the blonde shook her head once. "No thanks, Dad."

On the other side of the room Sam turned back to look at Adrienna. "They're worse than kids." The redhead grinned as she watched the scene brewing.

The younger Winchester scrunched his face in disbelief. "How can you be so relaxed at a time like this?"

"We've been in worse situations." The youngest shrugged uncaringly.

"So have we but---" The return of shouting cut Sam off from continuing.

Throwing her hands up, Evangeline made another attempt at trying to convince the stubborn man. "If he's so dangerous, why don't you just let me take him out of your way?"

"No way."

Pointing out to Castiel, who had been silent the entire time, the blonde stomped her foot in irritation. "Then let your angel chaperone me if you really don't trust me."

"I sa-Wait, how did you know he was an angel?"

"Don't insult me, Mr Winchester." Licking her lips as her eyes narrowed with a smile, the blonde played. "There are plenty of things I know. And surprising to some, I'm quite the competent woman."

"I'm sure." Dean coughed as he ran a hand over his hair.

"Hey Ada?" Tearing her line of sight from the man towering over her, Evangeline peeked over her should back to the redhead sipping a bottle of beer. "You don't mind waiting here for a few hours, right?"

Kicking her legs as she flapped her free hand, the younger girl shook her head with a smile. "Not particularly."

"Great." Reattaching his gaze to the older Winchester, Evangeline pinched the corners of her lips. "So that leaves you with only two options: You let me go, or you try and stop me."

"I'll take the latter."

"I thought you might say that." Instantly, she gave him a right hook to the ribs and kicked his feet from underneath him while he was unstable. "Is underestimating people your forte?" Sending the floored man a smirk, the blonde walked over to Crowley's Chair of Torture and began undoing the leather straps carved with demon symbols.

Wheezing from his hunched position on hardwood flooring, Dean called out to his brother in hope. "Sam, grab her."

Before the giant could do what he was told, the duo had disappeared into thin air. Both brothers turned to the redhead, who was strangely still sat where she had been the entire time.

"Son of a bitch!" Dean barked as he hit one of the empty bottles off the dining table out of anger, causing it to smash as it hit the bare floor.

"What the Hell is your friend trying to pull?"

The redhead raised both eyebrows comically. "You're asking me?"

Adrienna really had no idea what was going through her friend's head when she ran off with the apparent King of Hell, but she knew one thing for sure, and that was that Evangeline would never abandon her. After being with her friend, what could be much safer than sitting with both Winchesters? She didn't hate the idea, but it did suck that there was no working tv - Maybe she'd ask if they wanted to play cards?

The next thing she knew, the blonde was stood outside of a dingy motel with the rain pouring down. The car park was almost empty and the neon sign flickered as if it was about to blow at any second.

"Where were you going to take me?" Crowley's voice caught her before she could begin to wonder too much.

"It doesn't matter now." Peering around, she didn't recognize where she was. "Why did you bring us here."

"I wanted to ask you some questions."

"Like?"

"What are you?"

"Next question." She brushed it off, hoping he'd hurry up.

"What do you want from me?"

Pushing the platinum locks off her face, the female rolled her neck. "I want to make a deal."

Seeming particularly interested, the former Crossroads demon took a couple of steps towards the blonde. "Oh, that is something."

Before the man could get within touching distance, Evangeline spun around with her hands clasped behind her back. "But I don't need it yet. I'll call you when I do."

"And you're just going to let me go? Might I remind you, I am the King of Hell."

Peeping over her shoulder, the woman tilted her head and then turned back around. "Don't be silly, Mr Crowley." She frowned as she walked back to him. Taking his right hand and bringing it up to her chest height, the blonde licked her lips and grinned. "We need to form a contract to make sure you show up to our next meeting."

Back at Bobby's place, Dean tried to interrogate the resident angel. The older Winchester man sat facing his friend, his hands on the table as he leered with impatience. "She knew you by name. Are you sure you can't remember anything, Cas?"

Huffing and rolling his eyes, Castiel repeated what he had said around twelve times already. "How many times do I have to tell you, Dean? I think I would remember her if I'd seen her before." He fluttered his lashes as he nodded.

"Why are you ever worrying about it?" Finishing wiping the counter, Adrienna flipped the cloth onto her shoulder and turned to face the others. "She said she'd be back in a couple of hours."

Scowling, Sam stared at the redhead making herself at home. "And we should believe that, why?"

Wide-eyed, Adrienna wobbled her head mockingly before shuffling over to the almost empty crate of beers resting on a spare wooden chair. "Both her car and I are still here."

"We're going off that?"

"It's either that or worry yourselves to death." The youngest mumbled as she exerted the right amount of force to open the lid.

"If you went through the stuff we've been through then you'd worry too."

"Oh yes, the tragic lives of the Winchester brothers." Tapping her finger on the air in front of her, Adrienna teased. "Such a good read."

"What do you know about us?"

Looking up as if recalling, the redhead hummed before looking between the brothers with her mouth ajar. "Everything."

"Everything?"

The redhead began listing the bulletpoints, nodding her head with each as she went. "About your parents, your failed relationships, the cases you've taken, the demons, the blood, the people you've loved and lost, the coming back from the dead and everything in between."

Dean scowled. "Now I definitely don't trust you."

Sending the men a gentle smile, Adrienna pulled a chair into the middle of the space and sat on it Indian style without a care. "You should learn not to ask questions if you're not ready for their answers."

"Why do you know that stuff?"

"Because I like to know that kind of stuff. You're both pretty famous."

A little more calm than his brother, Sam rested his head on his up-propped arm as he spoke to the guest. "You still haven't told us why you were both out by the abandoned church the other day."

Holding her hand up at shoulder height, Adrienna explained the information that seemed to have been forgotten amongst the quarrelling. "We came to speak to you about a recent case but when we got here, we heard a skinny guy on the phone mention where you were."

"So you followed us out into the middle of nowhere?"

"We wanted that case. We were heading to Watertown after finishing it."

Castiels's ears pricked up. "You're hunters?"

Scrunching her face, the female asked. "What did you think we were?"

"Not hunters." The three men eyed the tall girl in denim booty shorts and stiletto's.

"It's better to be inconspicuous." She flung the tea towel right at the trio congregating around the table and turned around.
