Chapter 17: Meet Moon

 

Previously on Nothing More Than a Pokémon Adventure; they arrive in Arrowroot Town and goes to where Xiaoling lives. They follow her into a forest and find a beautiful house in the middle of a clearing. They venture through Xiaoling’s garden until she realises something. They run back to the house leaving Dawn and Brock to defend the house. Xiaoling runs back to the same path. A spearow flies by and guides the rest to the attacker or spy.

“ Arhh. Where are you?” Xiaoling muttered. A spearow flew down towards Xiaoling. “Thank you, lead us there.” The spearow flew up, guiding them towards somewhere.

 

The group raced underneath the spearow that flew ahead. “Guys! Over here.” Xiaoling ran and stopped sliding a bit. A person was standing by a tree leaning. “We finally meet.” He muttered.

“Hmmmm. Want some freshly cut oranges?” Xiaoling asked holding out freshly cut oranges.

“Hey? Did you hear me!” He shouted

“Sure you said, ‘We finally meet.’ But whatever my point was, do you want oranges.”

“No!” he shouted and saw the four of them eating oranges while sitting on the ground. “Why you!”

“MMM! Nice. These oranges are better than the ones in Beach Rose Town.” Kora said.

“Of course. I took care of these oranges. Want more? What about you?” Xiaoling said holding out another bowl of oranges.

The person gritted their teeth and then ran through the group knocking the bowl from Xiaoling’s grip. The oranges flew up. Everything went in slow motion; the oranges flew down and landed everywhere on Xiaoling and the bowl landed on her head with orange juice sliding down her face. Xiaoling didn’t react but then slowly got up and walked to the person. “Welcome…………(a very long pause)………But……You don’t deserve to be forgiven to what you’ve done………………to…………….these oranges…………….and me……..” Xiaoling muttered and slowly looked up. Tears were coming down her face. “*sniff* YOU-YOU. YOU DESTROYED THE ORANGES AND MY NEW DRESS! ARE YOU AN IDIOT! GRRR. AND! And…… you you you MURDER! My yummy oranges for my tummy.” Xiaoling screamed. T-T “YOU DESERVE. …….TO…..be………………..SLAPPED!!!” Xiaoling ran to the person and started slapping them, saying “MURDER!” “IDIOT!” and “MY FOOD! MY YUMMY ORANGES!” She kept doing it until the person stopped her and grabbed her hand. “Stop.” He said. (AWKWARD SILENCE)

Kora looked and started laughing. “HAHAHA!”

“Grr. Don’t laugh! Lucario! Shinx!” He shouted. He stepped from the shadows that covered his face. He had green-blue eyes, wide and a stare that could pierce you. Although it had no affect what-so-ever on Xiaoling. His hair was a lot like his parents; dark purple and a slight deep blue. He was tall but Xiaoling took no notice of it as she was getting more on her point.

“Hmm. You are not the real threat.” Xiaoling muttered.

“Grr. What are you talking about!”

“You show no threat. But, you chose to attack. (I don’t know why but she is talking like a wise one). Could you please help us with the real threat before they destroy this place……………….(pause)…………Moon.” Xiaoling said.

“How, how do you know?” he stuttered. “Only my parents know. You can’t- My parents must love and trust you. ……………………..(pause)…………………………. I’ll help but I think the attacker is weak.” He said once again with a slight smirk at the end.

“Good. Come here. You do know this place is secret, no one knows ‘cept me and his family.” Xiaoling ran into the forest. As she ran she stated, “Hmm. I bet this is your place to know. You did find, but I found it later. Hey, why did you not come with your parents here to meet me?” Directing the question to Moon.

“*sigh-shakes head-* I didn’t want to come but I had to stay to protect something too. But nice job finding it. And don’t call me Moon, it’s Takumi. “ 

“Sure, want one??” Xiaoling said holding on a new cut orange. (again. It’s the anime world. Deal with it!)

“What the? Um…... No thanks. But I think you need to go somewhere.”

“Huh? OH YEAH! ^_^ (completely forgotten about everything) Let’s go. Follow me. And we’ll continue to talk later.” Xiaoling walked through another pair of trees that were identical and they followed her. They heard shouts, “Onix! Rock throw!” and “OKAY! ME TOO! Piplup! Bubble beam! Buneary, Ice beam!”

“I hope they’ll be okay.” Ash said.

“Don’t worry, they’ll be okay.” Xiaoling said walking in a fast pace through another set of identical trees. “One more.” As they moved closer into the deep woods the voice of Brock’s and Dawn’s were slowly fading away, their voice was faint as they got through one more. “Here. We can do a surprised attack.” Xiaoling whispered and walked on a dirt path.

“You really try to keep nature here, don’t you.” Kora said a bit loud.

“Shhh. Whisper!” in a hushed tone and continued to walk further making them follow behind. “Ash, it’s your turn to use a Pokémon soon. You too brother. I think we’re up for a surprise.”

Ash nodded.  “Pikachu, are you ready? Buizel , Staraptor you guys too!”

“Hey, not yet!” Xiaoling said.

“Huh? Why?”

“Just, not yet. But keep them there since you’ve already done it.” Ash nodded and stood behind Xiaoling waiting for her permission. “Just wait Key.” Key nodded. “Hey, where’s moon?”

“I told you, it’s Takumi. But fine, I’ll help.” He muttered while leaning on a tree. “Hmmmm. You seem confident.”

“What? Of course I’m not! I just need to confirm this. *Inhale* Well. When I tell you the signal, Ash will come out with his pokemon and attack. Then Key and Takumi will come out after when I tell you guys the signal but you sis go behind them and slide into the house. Then press the square like button in the front of the house. You’ll find it, don’t worry.” Xiaoling said as a sign of warning. “Wait. ……. Hmmmm. And wait. NOW!” Xiaoling said jumping out by herself. And there stood in front of her was……….
