Chapter 19: Happy days, happy events. Fun Festival

 

“AHH! This IS really great! What a festival! Arhhh, why is this really good. I’ve heard of festivals from Arrowroot Town and people said they were great. But I didn’t know they were this GREAT!” Kora shouted her lungs out while doing the peace sign with her fingers and her cheeks were turning pink with excitement.

“Guy’s don’t worry about her; she gets really excited and hyper when there’s a festival like this. *Sigh*” Key muttered apologising to the group and remembering every time there was a festival she would get over excited.

                       -FLASHBACK-

“Welcome to the Wonders of Memories a.k.a. MY HOUSE!” Xiaoling introduced them to the place again. “MY house I live in. Hey, I think Takumi will remember some rooms.” Xiaoling thought a loud making everyone jumped especially Takumi; slamming her hand onto the other in thought. (okay its exactly the same as what Haruhi did when she thought of the word obnoxious. In OHSHC. Just saying if you’ve watched this anime before and to describe what I mean. Silently/mentally laughing) Takumi looked at her and nodded while his sweat dropped. “Okay from the start, again. It is really nice to see before you enter. Hey, Souta you’re welcomed to follow you know. This way please.” Xiaoling lead the way once again for the tour.

                      -TIME SKIP-

“Now, welcome to my house full of wonders. This way! OH! And Souta thanks for coming all the way.” Xiaoling applauded Souta. Souta shrugged. “AND DO NOT! PLAN. A. WAY. TO. STEAL. THIS. PLACE!!!!” Souta looked up in shocked. Shit she’s good. But~ She- Stop looking at me. Souta thought to himself. “SOUTA. DON’T YOU DARE!” *cough* Souta looked ahead coughing, choking and spluttering on his spit. “Yeah, whatever.” Was all he could say back.

                      -TIME SKIP-

“So? Liked it, and once again I congratulate Souta for not stealing or doing anything to this house, yet.” Xiaoling congratulated Souta. Souta nodded in reply. Xiaoling smiled. “Oh yeah, stay here if you want! The festival is about to come in a few days. So stay so you all can come and watch and have fun!” They nodded as that was a great idea.

              -END OF FLASH BACK-

“So, where to first?” Dawn chirped in. “I want to go to…….”

“No wait, don’t go anywhere.” Xiaoling commanded. “Wait, till it’s time for the fireworks. This way.” They shrugged and nodded.

“So, arhh. Where are we going?” Dawn asked.

“Huh? Oh, yeah! We’re going to look around the places of Arrowroot Town. There’s loads of time before it really starts, plus they’re getting ready.”

“So, where are we going?” Ash asked.

“Here.”

“Huh?”

“Welcome!” a chorused of voices called out.

“It’s the best place ever in Arrowroot town. Well, if you mean by how wealthy, luxurious looking it is then yeah it is. This way, I have a friend!”

                -TIME SKIP-

“Well, and last of all, the pond! It’s much better at night, right about now~” Xiaoling announced.

“WAH?? Flying lights? =___=’” Ash muttered.

“No, Ash. It’s fire flies.” Brock corrected ash. Xiaoling put a thumbs up, meaning Brock was correct, then looked at her watch.

“WAHH!?? OH NO!!! IT’S TIME! COME ON! OHHH! WAIT! Could we get a ride back to Arrowroot Town?” Xiaoling asked scrambling her words to an old couple. The old couple smiled and nodded.

“Yes, why of course. Come in kids.” The lady said. They all walked into the car and watched as the car passed sceneries.  “We’re here kids. Enjoy your time!” They bowed and said good bye. The old couple smiled and waved good bye.

“Welcome, Ladies and gentlemen for coming to Arrowroot Town’s Festival. Fireworks will begin the festival! 1!          2!          3!!!” A man announced.

BANG! BANG! Peewwwwwwww, BANG! Colourful glitters coloured the sky. Lanterns lit the town. Shops were opened. Crowds begun, everywhere was a sea of people. Kids played games for prizes, couples gazed upon the sky watching the fireworks explode into mid-air and cooked food wafted into everyone’s nose.

“The stores are opened! Food are delights to our stomach. Fill yourself with surprises!” The announcer of a man shouted, his voice boomed out of many speakers.

“WAHH! LOOKS GREAT!!!” Dawn said her cheeks going pink with excitement and was jumping around. “Let’s go there!” She pointed at a stall and started testing out every food stall.

“Guys? Aren’t she going to get fat?” Xiaoling asked.

“AHHH! I WANNA GO TOO! Pikachu let’s go!” Ash shouted. Pikachu nodded and started following Ash and Dawn going to each food stall.

“Tut, they know they will get sick but still does it.” Kora muttered, shaking her head.

Xiaoling nodded as she went to buy her dinner. She examined each stall for her dinner. “Hmm. Seems perfect. Can I have one of these? Thanks.” The owner handed over the food while she handed the money over. “Xiaoling, have a nice day and enjoy our food.” Xiaoling smiled and nodded.

“Xia-Xiaoling? What are you doing? Are you copying them?” Kora asked shocked.

“Nope, just hungry for dinner.” Xiaoling blankly responded and started eating. *Nom, nom, nom*

“Sigh. *gurgle, gurgle, gurgle* Um, guess I’m hungry now.” Kora muttered.

“Let’s go buy something to eat.” Key said. Brock nodded and walked off to buy some dinner with Kora following.

     -Xiaoling’s POV-

Finally, they’re gone.  Alone time. Hmmm? I’m finished; hey that place has a game. Seems fun. Let’s go Xiaoling.

I closed my food box and threw in into a bin. I walked myself towards a stall that had prizes. It seemed fun, so yeah. I ended up there and played a few minutes, then moved to another game stall. Moving from different game stalls, earning prizes. Each prize seemed like it was another step to another world or to me another memory/room. Nice right.

Time passed fast as I walked to another game, this stall was throwing a small hoop into a hook. As I got there I bumped into someone. “Sorry.” I bowed. They gazed at me, a cold gazed and left. “Sheesh. How rude. -__-‘ ” I muttered and continue to walk to the stall. I played 5 games until I heard a voice calling for me, at the same time I won. The store owner game me a prize and I turned around to see my siblings and the Pokémon trainers running up to me.

“HEY!!! THE FOOD WAS GREAT!” They all shouted, a little hyper and kinda the way a drunk person would say. But hey, I know they don’t drink alcohol.

“Guys, (=___= sheesh) you guys sound drunk.”

“WAH!? No! The food was de-lish! TRY THIS!!!” Kora said and started poking something in my mouth.

“No, give it to me. I can feed myself. (checks nearby clock) *shaking head and sighs* Time to go home guys, its late.”

Kora looked about for the clock and finally found it. The others followed her gaze and gasped. “WAHHH! IT’S SOOOO LATE! Don’t tell me you’ve been doing nothing but walking around!!” they shouted in sync.

“No, I had dinner then played most of the games here.”  I lifted my arms that held bags, prizes, food and clothes and accessories. “Nice right? Come on this way.” They looked at my full arms, gaping at me. “Shut your mouth. It looks weird. No, YOU look weird.” I shook my head and started my way towards my place.

       -At my Place of Wonders-

“I’m tired, go to sleep guys, you have to go someplace then stay here for internity.” I said walking to my room with my still full arms. Yes, they didn’t bother to ask for help. Gosh, this was getting so heavy! >:(  *Yawn* I put my things I got tonight, on my big table and slowly got ready for bed. I was still tired and I started getting ready for bed. I had a new toy under my arm, as my head hit my pillow, I had drifted to dreamland.
