remarks ;

Translated by BM Mooyart, the book is the writings of Anne Frank in her diary as she and her family were hiding during the Nazi occupation in Netherlands. This autobiography was written as a form of self expression in a time where Anne Frank was wishing for someone with whom she could entrust her deepest thoughts and feelings. The autobiography also conveys the atrocities committed by the Nazis during the war. What is noteworthy about this work is that it was written by a thirteen year old girl and it serves as a reminder of the war. I would say that this book must not be read in terms of prose but the message behind it. Teenagers are most likely the ones to appreciate it because they are the ones who can relate to the writer. The words are not fancy, nor we the author's ideologies, but we must bear in mind that thiswas written as a diary and not a piece of literature to entertain people.
